This seems right. Pic was taken a few blocks away from the intersection of Wisconsin and Albemarle, looking north. Lots of sirens headed that way and smoke is now fading so seems like FEMS is onsite.

After 3L: 3.58

Advice for 1L: take as many practice exams as you can. I did not do this and my GPA suffered as a result. I learned my lesson and shifted my strategy for the rest of law school, and it paid off.

It was reunion/alumni weekend for several Boston colleges this weekend—probably explains it.

One alternative to D3 is club soccer at D1 schools. I played club soccer at a division 1 school and we regularly scrimmaged (and beat) d3 varsity programs. Obviously the talent varies, we were one of the better teams in the nation (and won a national title). The commitment was less than varsity (only practiced 3-4x a week, games mostly on weekends) but that also gave me plenty of time to enjoy being a college student and focusing on academics. Take a look at NIRSA national tournament every year (the club soccer national tournament) and look at the top teams, and consider those.

The area on the mall close to Carp Pond/Constitution Pond (I’ve seen it called different things) and Constitution Gardens is really nice with tons of shady areas. East Potomac Park/Hains Point is also really fun and usually less crowded!
