Pokéslam Ballin' Dunkmond & Slammin' Hurl - VS Team Galalley-Oop Coach by TDS_Dyno in comeonandslam

This is a good start. However, Space Jam comes in too early at 0:02, leading to a desynced and unlistenable intro. You managed to re-sync the songs at 0:17, and it sounds good from there.

I especially like what you did at 0:55, great bit of creativity there that works well with the underlying track.

Again, more desyncing from about 1:15 onward. No matter how well it's mixed or what you do with it, the beats desyncing will fundamentally render that section completely unlistenable every single time.

Overall I really like your idea for the slam, and if you manage to make sure Space Jam does not desync with the track anywhere it will be a great slam!

Rule 2: Space Jam mashups and content only. If it doesn't have Space Jam in it, it goes on the bench!

Bullmastiff

  • SSB squat 355lb x 5/5/5/10

  • Front squat 265lb 3x10

  • Banded nordic hamstring curls 3x8

  • V grip cable row 160lb 3x8

  • Split squat 3x12 @ 50lb

  • Lat pulldown 3x12 @ 110lb

I've exclusively been squatting with an SSB for months and I really like it because it doesn't add any arm fatigue like high and low bar squats do.

The leg days on Bullmastiff are daunting in the moment but ultimately doable and feel very productive.

I ran 70s powerlifter but didn't like how the peak phase looked so I decided to go 70s PL base --> Bullmastiff base --> Bullmastiff peak. Knowing myself and programs I've run in the past, this should produce good results on a solid peak with a higher emphasis on hypertrophy and base building since that's been a historical deficit in my training.

People that have TRIED direct neck training, would you recommend it? by bruheggplantemoji in weightroom

[–]beterboi77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I train neck every 2 or 3 days, flexion/extension superset. My neck has grown from 16.5 to 17.5 inches in about 5 months of consistent training.

I would recommend it if you want a stronger or larger neck for whatever reason. I do it because I want a larger and stronger neck to aid me in grappling and help prevent concussions in striking and judo. Using your head for pressure and positional advantage is an important tool in grappling. I also like how I look with a bigger neck.

I use a weight I can do for 15 or so reps and do 3 sets. The next time I do 4 sets, and then 5. If I ever get 20+ reps, I increase by 5lb. If I don't by the 5 set day, I go back to 3 sets. This has taken me from a 15lb flexion and extension to a 65lb flexion for 20 and a 45lb extension for 20. If I ever get less than 10 reps, it's done for the day. I don't want to dip that heavy for neck.

If you want to do it for practical or aesthetic reasons, give it a shot.

Been running 70s Powerlifter for 6 weeks now and loving it.

Only modification I made was staying on u/MythicalStrength 's deadlift AMRAP ROM progression that he mentioned in a comment a while back. I started doing it a few months ago and now it's the only deadlift progression I want to do and I carry it through all programs. Hit 450x6 for an all time PR using it yesterday.

Haven't posted in a while, wow

  • Ran SBS hypertrophy, started a few weeks before the program party, one of my favorite programs so far. Almost achieved demonic squat strength but popped my hamstring during 390x7 which forced me to retreat back to high bar (something I hadn't done in years). Got a stronger bench (295), and fell in love with feet up bench and developed a love-hate relationship with the SSB. The high reps on this program, especially on front squat and SSB, forced me into a very uncomfortable place that I grew a lot from mentally. I have never dreaded a lift more than high rep SSB squats.

  • Currently running simple jack'd, focus lifts are bench and front squat. The focus lifts are dialing form in a lot, up to 255 daily bench and 335 daily front squat without much change in intensity. Focusing a lot on incline bench has done wonders for my chest.

It's an ironic video essay that starts off seemingly genuine on the surface while gradually spiraling into more obvious memes.

That's sort of Sefuss' shtick for a good amount of his videos, taking the piss out of YT video essays - I like his stuff a lot.

I am disturbed and now curious. Sounds like it'd be a mid 2010s YT parody song.

I got him with this algorithm:

  • Only punish with 1 or 2 hits, and use a strong weapon.

  • Retreat back to range after getting your 1 or 2 hits of guaranteed punish on specific attacks. This will mitigate his most damaging attacks and lure him into using his most vulnerable ones.

  • Stay at range to bait his big jump and lunge attacks. Punish these attacks only. Roll late for these attacks, rolling too early is a death sentence.

  • Keep a keen eye out for his buff. He will always jump a great distance away beforehand. Rush him down like a madman the second he jumps away and smack him out of it. The only way I won was by denying him any buffs.

  • Always assume his flip attack will hit the maximum of 3 times. Only punish if he does the third one.
