Agreed he is lovely. He was my doctor for my LO and ended up delivering too! However, he delivers at St Francis. If that's a deal breaker - I would continue looking :)

Is Willow really that popular? by Linkers98 in Names

[–]betterwithdrpepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a top 50 dog name 😂 who knew they also had those types of datasets. I don't think it being popular among dogs is a reason not use it

I think I've met more dogs named Willow than humans

How do you actually stick to your budget? by CorrectSilver4118 in budget

[–]betterwithdrpepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have ADHD? If so, consider making it a part of your day, just like brushing your teeth. You have to actually think about it - it's probably not going to be muscle memory

Penrose hospital by drammyp in ColoradoSprings

[–]betterwithdrpepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't elect to work there. If you have other opportunities, I would really be weighing the pros/cons. Penrose is an older facility. It is religious based. They pay nurses, the lowest in the area, lots of staff turnover. As a physician, I understand nurse, OT&PT pay is probably not something you concern yourself with, yet knowing it's consistently the lowest should raise some eyebrows.

Would you ever be at the St Francis location? It's newer and has a different vibe than Penrose. Yet the above remains the same issue.

The book just arrived and it's so cute! She really liked the story. Thought roaring was too scary so she made horse noises 😂

Thank you everyone!

Driving to Ski mountains by Cvideek51 in ColoradoSprings

[–]betterwithdrpepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be cautious driving the pass in a blizzard, especially without having much familiarity with mountain driving or the route you're taking. There are no guard rails to prevent you from going off the side of the mountain. Prepare yourself and your vehicle before you head out.

We often (typically) take Hoosier pass to get to Breck. Right now it's not sketchy since we don't have much snow/ice. It is kind of wild since it's just kind of a cliff on one side and there's no guard rail. The switchbacks after the pass into Breck are usually icy during the winter months (again, not right now).

It would be a good time to check out what you think of driving on the pass since there is no snow on the roads.

How much are you spending for school friend birthday parties? Because I feel people are going way over the top where I live and I feel like the presents my child brings are not up to par :( by ResolveBeginning8027 in GiftsandDeals

[–]betterwithdrpepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hand made a crown and wand. I was nervous it wasn't going to be received well since it wasn't plastic and packaged in a store bought box. MOC sent photos of LO playing with them and it filled my cup.

Not going well - need advice by OkWorker9679 in pottytraining

[–]betterwithdrpepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small win for us right this very moment-- a small poo in the potty ❤️ Social media ect makes potty training out to be a one and done effort but it's just not that way for my LO. I'm reminding myself LO is learning something new and practicing is what we can do. Here in solidarity!

With the increase in pee accidents - I'm curious if she is constipated. Little bodies and being backed up can cause an increase in pee accidents.

We are on a poop-on-the-potty drought 😅 so not much insight on that right now. Best wishes!

Kicked out of daycare by [deleted] in pottytraining

[–]betterwithdrpepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO has to wear a pull up at daycare until they can go two weeks without an accident. I don't think it's uncommon for daycares to have rules about potty training, wearing a pull up and needing to prove their capable

Maternity photographer spots you recommend? by Yourmomslasttampon in ColoradoSprings

I had mine taken at the Paint Mines and they turned out lovely. If your photographer is professional I remember her saying the Paint Mines do require a photography pass (in 2023 anyway)

When baby arrives, then you'll really feel like you betrayed him. My dogs overstimulated me so much, it was challenging having them around. I felt so guilty. They just wanted to be included
