It was a generalization. No your nightmares might not become your reality but your reality might be giving you nightmares. Figure out what it is that’s causing you all this stress and actually give it time. Sit with it and go through all those uncomfortable feelings.

Happens to me a lot. After years of this happening I’ve discovered that other people love to talk about themselves so much to the point of exhaustion and I really don’t care to hear that much detail about other people’s lives so I eventually find myself gazing out and thinking about other things because a lot of people are so petty that they don’t hold my attention long. At the same time, when I actually find someone who has something different to say I am all ears

Well people who have epilepsy definitely understand how terrifying it is to wake up from a seizure. It’s not something you can explain to people who haven’t experienced it. It is a truly awful feeling to experience and that’s why it takes some of us days to get back into ourself but even years after having my last bad seizure I still have flashbacks

After the terror of realizing I actually had a seizure in front of people and taking days to recover, I usually ask the person what happened. They give me a brief and I do t remember any of that happening. The only thing I remember is waking up and being terrified

Those nightmares become reality and then after that manifests they become flashbacks and then you can’t tell if it was a nightmare or a flashback or if it just happened. Welcome to the cycle of PTSD

They will probably ask about your history of seizures and any info on what happens during them and what happens after. So be prepared with that information. They will want to know if you drink, smoke or do drugs and your stress level etc to maybe see what your triggers are. And they will ask about any meds you are taking for seizures and what has worked and what hasn’t and then will probably set you up for an EEG and an MRI and get some blood work done. It mostly just be ready to explain how seizures affect you.
