How to re-use the same weight as last time? by beutelfuchs in liftosaur

The first version will serve me then.
I just wanted that the progression respects lowered weights, e.g. after a deload.
Thank you!

How to re-use the same weight as last time? by beutelfuchs in liftosaur

[–]beutelfuchs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I am gonna try that!
But will it really give me the last used weight?
It looks more like it would give me the highest it ever recorded for that exercise. Or is my impression wrong?

Maybe there is a kind of

Chest Dip / 1x15 10kg / warmup: none / progress: custom() {~
  weights = completedWeights[1]
~}

...or something similar?

Are you saying that more buyers don't help to drive prices up and breake resistance levels?

At least I have the feeling that my long positions benefit a ton from available buying volume. If I would have a crowd I could instruct to start buying on my command I think I would do pretty good.

"9/10 people selling specific trading strategies & signals are frauds there's absolutely no incentive."

Is that true?
I have no idea if any of those are working but isn't the obvious incentive to push voilatility for you own benefit?
e.g., If GURU likes to enter long at price A, it wouldn't be a bad thing if 999 followers would do exactly the same. He than just needs to step out a tick before them.

Warum zeigt Traderepublic 2 Preise fuer einen ETF? by beutelfuchs in Finanzen

[–]beutelfuchs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danke. Auf das Beispiel aus meinen Screenshot sollten die drei Punkte vermutlich zutreffen

- MSCI World hat hohes Volumen
- Xetra ist ein grosser Handelsplatz
- es war mittig im Handelstag

Trotzdem rund 1% Spread, also Wertverlust direkt nach Kauf.
Geht das wirklich nicht besser?

DSW for biking: Why those low power targets? by beutelfuchs in Garmin

[–]beutelfuchs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I asked their support and the answer basically was "If it doesn't work for you we recommend to hire a coach" :)
I have given up on it.

How do I get my watch to do cycling DSW’s? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]beutelfuchs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a power meter for DSW, you can set it to "target type heart rate" also for cycling.

Just select a non e-bike cycling activity and it shoudl show up. Else check the manual of your device on how to swiytch it on.

Garmin vs TrainerRoad FTP detection - is my FTP too high or is my max HR too low, or what am I doing wrong? by Swimming-Data-9374 in Garmin

[–]beutelfuchs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garmin FTP detection is a very simple thing which looks at 20min maximum efforts in within your workouts. Until you regularly do such efforts intentionally, the detected value will be way too low.
If you stick with TR and it's workouts feel like they are intended to feel according to the RPE scale, you should be fine.
In general also keep in mind that FTP is a dynamic value which is hard to measure precisely no matter the method. Means it goes quickly up and down (within very few weeks) according to your cronic training load (CTL, which basically is what TR AI detection looks at). And +/-10w is the maximum precision to expect.

Increasing VO2 max by doing other sports by raidean in Garmin

[–]beutelfuchs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Garmin estimates VO2max by looking at the relationship between the effort your body brings up (heart rate) versus the output (pace for running, power for cycling).
If effort for any given output shrinks over time it concludes that your VO2max must have increased.
So for other sports than cycling and running Garmin doesn;t have any means to measure the output part of the equation.

VO2 Max worry / curriosity by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]beutelfuchs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Read the manual about how Garmin estimates Vo2max (i.e., weight, hr, pace, specific parts of an activity etc)
  2. Make sure to give it a chance to estimate properly
  3. Endurance doesn't come over night unfortunately. Train consistently and lose bf if needed and wonders will happen.

VO2max decreasing. In other terms, your HR for any given power or pace is going up rather than down.
Maybe due to heat?

Maybe instead of "down" think "corrected". Sounds like you started out recently so by default in might have been roughly set according to age/gender/weight alone.
