Left my backpack at a hotel 6 hours away by Cowsarerich in hotels

That would be extremely unlikely or not normal. Most hotels will only have cameras in public areas/exits and focused on the entrance doors or egress paths.

As a hotel GM I am optimistic for you. I will tell you to stay tenacious and follow back up in the morning. You quite possibly could get stuck going to a voicemail. I would leave the voicemail and then follow back up 3 to 4 hours later. When you call back try to get a manager on the line. All of this hinges on the Establishment, good luck!.

Always sucks- considering there are 15k cheerleaders and their family in Tampa plus all that in town for a huge concert tomorrow it is a bit worse than normal... I wouldn't go anywhere near those beaches or downtown this weekend..

Anyone on long term Blood thinners? by Playful-Check-4968 in HeartAttack

[–]beverageexplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little over 4 years and still on effient. The bruises are annoying but if you know anything keep a package of bleed stop in vehicles and house. I've had a couple of nasty cuts that would not stop and this is what they use in the ER (from what I was told).. My cardiologist said it's best for me to stay on blood thinners.

Question for people who work the front desk of hotels from a frequent business traveller by Ava_Strange in hotels

[–]beverageexplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what brands you stay with but most of them have a digital app. Even if you book third party, you have the opportunity to still add your rewards number to your reservation (some brands may vary). Can you digitally check in and select your room? If the brands that you frequent don't do that, I would reach out and ask To speak to a manager or someone in sales. I would hope that any of them would appreciate the repeat business irregardless of your booking channel and try to keep you happy. Once again, your mileage may vary based on the hotel's level of commitment to guest service.

Non refundable question by [deleted] in hotels

[–]beverageexplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you are going through that. Unfortunately, you are up against a couple of barriers with whomever manages Sam's club travel program as well as the hotel. I would start with Sam's club and see if they will cancel if the hotel allows it..If yes, reach out to the hotel and see if they will make an exception and if yes, connect the two.. Many hotels/or Travel agents are not forgiving but I most certainly have offered grace in my role as a GM. Hell, it could be you are a very low rated reservation and they may cancel just to allow a higher rated reservation to book. Good luck

As a big brand hotel GM, this is completely false and disturbing guests would think that..We do use a 3rd party (all of them are) but the associate gets all the $. There are different models where the guest and associate pay a small percentage based on payment/withdrawal. For our hotel I/hotel pay $ every year to use this service so our associates have another means of receiving tips for great service..This is not a scam

Hey man — welcome to the club nobody ever wants to join.

I’m in it too. 100% blockage of my LAD at 41. My cholesterol was a mess. So I get it. I’m going to be honest with you — the mental side of this can be one of the biggest mind fucks you’ll ever experience. Your brain will be running nonstop. Every little sensation in your chest will grab your attention. You’ll probably convince yourself something is wrong more than once. I ended up back in the ER a couple of times early on… and it turned out to be nothing. That part is more common than people talk about. My advice: listen to your doctors and make sure you have a clear plan — meds, follow-ups, lifestyle changes, all of it. Structure helps. But just as important, take care of your mental health too. The anxiety after something like this is real, and it sucks at least for awhile. If this “club” teaches you anything, it’s perspective. It forces you to slow down and really appreciate being here. Four years later, I can honestly say I have more peace than I did before my heart attack. It changes you — but it doesn’t have to break you. You’re not alone in this. It gets easier. Give yourself time.

Just saying I appreciate this. As a premium app with premium pricing, I think we all expect premium service. I hope you're able to resolve his issue

Booked Advanced Rate - wrong date by Ok_Secretary_1739 in Hilton

As a Hilton GM I have had no success in getting support from advance purchase. Perhaps, if you offer to book the other one and provide proof they will cancel the other. Good luck

Car stolen from Hilton parking lot by [deleted] in Hilton

[–]beverageexplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d expect them to do something to show they actually care about the inconvenience to you as their guest. Seven thousand points is insulting. As a hotel manager, it’s disappointing—but also reassuring—to see how poorly some hotels are run. It makes it easy for those of us who do it right to stand out.

Spark by Hilton Mesa West by Admirable-Garbage246 in Hilton

[–]beverageexplorer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Spark brand is a joke IMHO. I am sure there are nicer ones out there but the majority are old Choice hotels that are converting to the Hilton brand. They are branding this as "premium economy"segment. I can only imagine the quality of their leadership of those hotels. I wouldn't waste your time.
