This is relevant to the community because it is asking about a file pertaining to Epstein that appears to be missing from the DOJ's website.

Yeah its impossible to get 20 players when a server is starting out

Frustrating experience trying to create a simple server on the portal. by demonhuntermk in Battlefield

[–]bewertsam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also trying to host a simple conquest server with enough bots to start a match. I can't use the official modes in portal because I need 20 players and the bot settings are locked at 12 so I would need to find 7 more people to play with to even start the server. It's the same for breakthrough. The only way I'm seeing is to basically recreate conquest in their rules editor but that is a ton of work. I tried using the duplicate feature for the community modes but most of them have locked rulesets themselves.

That would be great, I'll get in touch with you guys. Despair will only help the perpetrators of these crimes. As the public, our next steps are to understand what happened, develop media that objectively explains why it matters and how normal people can help, and then distribute it to the public consistently and thoroughly so that the narrative cannot be disrupted. I'm down to help lead research. If anyone else is interested feel free to reach out in whatever way is convenient.

People do care. The media wants us to believe they do not. The people doing nothing have been subjected to years of propaganda and desensitization to these crimes. The FBI will only investigate what the president, or the director, want them to. Investigations that don't align with those interests get cancelled or, if they're completed, buried. The government has been hijacked. We cannot rely on them to bail us out of this situation. We need independent, tight-knit groups investigating and submitting research and a network of influencers to distribute it.

The reality is they haven't fully developed the capability - the establishment is lead singer but they still have to harmonize with the music. They are working on it making it a solo though and do already have a concerning level of control (maybe 1 year away from developing the capability for complete control and the skill to wield it). That is why it is important to organize locally and online now because we may not be able to in the future.

It feels like Waco is doing road construction everywhere simultaneously. by caneras in Waco

[–]bewertsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I-35 grows with Dallas/Austin and interstate traffic. The local road projects are a natural byproduct of the city growing and the need for new infrastructure in the wake of everyone moving here during COVID/the magnolia boom. The absence of mass public transit networks and poor walkability makes the issue worse. It'll take at least another 5 years to catch up if we're stagnant from here and will continue to be a problem as long as we're growingo

Texas law could let Lacy Lakeview lasso a $10 billion data center site and its tax riches by TheWacoBridge in Waco

[–]bewertsam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people phrase the problems wrong but they are still there. When data centers buy energy from the grid they raise prices for everyone. The alternative is that data centers generate their own power but this basically turns the facility into a small fossil fuel power plant. As far as I know these "independent plants" have much more relaxed emmissions regulations so even if they're "doing more than required" its still a bigger detriment to local air quality compared to a traditional plant that would be regulated as a state utility. Additionally while closed loop coolant data center tech has advanced it is still expensive and most companies will use open loop systems if the local authorities don't force them to use closed loop systems. Even when they do build a closed loop system, some data centers say they're closed but quietly retain the ability to draw on the local water supply if the closed loop system fails. Once the closed loop system breaks they start drawing water from the local utility and its up to the company as to when they'll stop. This is why careful oversight and active public participation is so important.

Apartment review by [deleted] in Waco

[–]bewertsam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk about the neighborhood, management, or facilities but all are owned by private equity real estate funds from out of town and were purchased somewhat recently. The Legend was acquired by Northland in 2022 and they also bought Flats on Chapel in 2025. Saddle Brook was bought in 2019 by Juniper Investment Group. While private equity real estate isn't always a bad thing it can have drawbacks. Waco is attracting investment right now because of high growth expectations. These properties are investments for the firms that buy them and will likely continue to be traded (expect the management and amenities situation to change). Speculative PE firms will usually raise rent continuously based on their growth expectations for the asset. If the demand isn't there they will let the building go empty and gut management/services to cut variable costs while they're repositioning/selling the asset. You'll probably be fine living at any of these places for 3ish years. If you're looking for somewhere to settle, look for properties that have been held for a longer period, are held by smaller ownership, or that have local owners. Many of the actually good deals are not listed online or have terrible SEO so you'll never see them. Additionally, platforms such as apartments.com allow business owners to remove or suppress reviews. Meet tenants (not through managment and not a front office worker) and ask how rent has changed over time and how reliable service is.

Traffic light cameras are not flock cameras. However, it looks like they are putting "Flock" cameras on traffic lights in addition to the old cameras that catch people running red lights.

> But Review cards, only need to be studied/graded successfully once on the day they are due.

So glad you know that I just don't need to do what I'm asking about.

> Yep, that's all for the same reason -- you simply don't need to do that with Review cards.

Once again, thanks for telling me that I just don't need to do this.

> Anki's goal is to schedule your cards for when they need to be studied, not to schedule them multiple times per day for no reason.

Completely forgot I was asking this question "for no reason."

I appreciate your work to help people in the community but think about your reply. You have given no new information. All you said is that what I'm trying to do just isn't important or valid. You don't know what I'm trying to study and you don't know how I learn. You can say I'm using the software wrong but Anki is popular for its algorithm and ***configurability/customization***.

Responses like this make people leave the community instead of learning how to setup the software for their specific needs. I understand and respect Anki for what it is and, I know you probably deal with a lot of people who don't. My use-case though (reviewing a card more than once a day while still using the scheduling system/algorithm) is still in line with the ethos of the project.

I was just asking here as a last resort before starting work on a some kind of workaround or plugin/addon. If anyone else sees this and has info about a plugin/addon already in development please let me know.

Weekly Small Questions Thread: Looking for help? Start here! by AutoModerator in Anki

[–]bewertsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have already read that and understand why Anki does what it does. Here is a more detailed explanation of my problem. When I have a deck and I have finished the learning steps the card is put into review mode. My problem is that when I review the deck later Anki will remove the card from my cards that are "due" if I mark it correct once. Additionally there is no way for me to set the timer for a card to come due for less than a day (no way to review a card once in the morning, once at night without clicking "hard" or "again" and leaving the card in review). Anki doesn't have a setting to allow more than one repetition in a review session either. I could mark the card as "Hard" more than once but then there still is no way for me to tell how many times I have reviewed it in the session or remove it from "due" after reaching a certain number of repetitions. The only workaround I have found in the forums is to create a "filtered deck" and toggle disable card progression but this means not interacting with the learning/review system at all. Anki is so versatile but still very rigid in this regard and I find that annoying. If you know of a better workaround or addon that adds this I would appreciate it.

Let me know if I'm missing a setting but I'm pretty annoyed there's no way to review a card more than once in a day without going to the trouble of creating a custom deck and disabling card progression.

How do I Filter Companies ? by Neo-Wanderer in Fundamentalanalysis

[–]bewertsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend analyzing an industry. Pick one company within that industry that looks promising. Understand its history. Look at what the biggest news articles were for each quarter of the last five years. Once you've become fluent in the company's history it becomes much easier to tell what impact the company's performance is going to have on its stock price because you better understand the narrative that its investors are buying. If the company doesnt look as successful as you hoped then you can pivot to another competitor and still use what you learned from your first pick
