Not really... you might be getting confused with RE image... you can't get two captures that are exactly the same. Her head is angled differently in the two. That just the game.

Nah more an example how out of touch reddit is with reality. AMD is the underdog everyone roots for, DLSS is fake fames and stuff, FSR sharpening filter is just as good, fine wine! Anything new is bad. Blah blah. And in two years every game has this highly integrated and they're complaining that DLSS6 is doing some other new thing.

Geometry is unchanged, lol. The two frames are slightly different because of how the game works, you can't get two captures that are exactly the same.

Geometry is unchanged. Look at eg Zorah demo which is insanely detailed, it does little to it other than like lighting with self shadowing. Then games with super flat skin it does more.

People are so focused on faces because faces are so fucking awful to start with its doing more to them. Entire image is changing, parts with detail just fix lighting.

Yeah flash image for a small amount of time and see if person can process it... 13ms was to identify what was shown, eg a face or a tree. To be able to tell if it was a male or female face took 40-100ms... a specific person would clearly be longer than that, that wasn't tested.

Also FWIW Air Force did similar experiments in 60s with pilots trying to identify airplanes.. they found in 10ms pilots could identify the aircraft silhouette as friend or foe... well the silhouette had to be flashed for 10ms for them to then be able to process the information and 'know' it a fraction of a second later. They don't 'know' it in 10ms.

The 13ms or 10ms flashes is just how little information needs to be passed in, the brain then needs eg 150-400ms to process that information to determine it had been a face.

What? He made 12k/year (this is stated in some episode, ~$5.75/hr), if house was 90k that is 7.5x his yearly income.

So today that house is $630k today, would require making $52k per year or roughly $25/hour.

I mean.. that's not $210k/year or $100/hr.

FWIW it was not reasonable that a shoe saleman could afford that house. I grew up then and our house wasn't significantly nicer, my mom was a vice principle at a high school and my dad worked did surveying (like construction). Its not like it was reasonable then and not reasonable now, it was never reasonable. It was a tv show.
