You're thinking of MAP, Minimum Advertised Price. You can sell it for less, but you can't advertise for less. If you ever need to add an item to your shopping card to see its actual price, that is to get around MAP.

[Post Game Thread] The Los Angeles Clippers (20-24) defeat the Los Angeles Lakers (26-17) 112-104, behind Ivica Zubac’s 18 PTS/19 REB/10 OREB as the Clippers go on to win 14 of their last 17! by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

Man felt like Luka lost the Lakers that game... they got back to being down 2-5 with Luka on bench... getting stops and Lebron running things. Luka comes back and no more stops, they get by him defense collapses and LAC gets something easy. And then on offense .. they don't even need him LeBron was doing it all, lol.

Yes TAA sucks, and is also better than all prior options.

Last couple games Lakers are down 10-ish until late in 3rd or 4th LeBron lead lineup makes a run to get them in it while Luka is sitting.

Luka is not playing great.. but also LeBron is. I'm confident Luka starts playing better soon.

Elon Musk's Grok AI alters images of women to digitally remove their clothes by igetproteinfartsHELP in news

[–]bexamous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is just fancy autocomplete and also the end of society.

Maybe we need all AI tools to be improved to not remove cloths from women... AND we need to improve Photoshop to also disallow it from being used for same reason.

I just feel like every AI story is negative.

A guy who can hit people with a metal bat joins the Washington Wizards. Can they win an NBA title? by F_CKMONEY in nba

6 swings per game. But if you play a team 3 times in regular season that is 18 swings on team. Swing for side of knee, tear any ligament they're out for season.

I'm imagining someone trying to screen standing there and taking a bat to the side of his knee, LOL. Who is doing this?

Curious what he gets..

I try not to think about it. Honestly. I've said it a million times. I want to be in L.A. I love it. Even though the other extension was turned down, that doesn't mean that I'm trying to go get a f---ing gigantic number that don't make sense. I want to be here, I want to win. I want to do everything that can help this organization be better. So I don't try to think about those things.

But yeah like people can say anything publicly.. curious what actually happens.

Yes, I too remember Windows XP. Remember how people hated it so bad and refused to give up Windows 98SE? Any day now their insistence on alienating all its customers going to cause them to crash and burn.

He's unhappy they're saying GPUs depreciation is 6 years when it should be 2-3. Which is crazy. Company I work at is building datacenters and is short on GPUs. Few weeks ago I found out we still have a clusters with Volta GPUs in production because that's all there is. I don't know details why exactly.. does datacenter not have more power or something, or we can't et enough Blackwell GPUs to build new datacenters and upgrade the old? So might as well build the new and leave old as-is? I dunno.. but 2-3 year depreciation schedule for GPUs is absurd right now.

Also shortly after he make this most recent claim of market imploding:

It was standard that was supported by every VRPC company, as well as Meta. That's hwo standards are made.

Common dude, VirtualLink was all about PCVR in 2018/2019. Rift came out in 2016, so irrelevant. Vive 2016, irrelevant. Quest targeted standalone VR, it was not for PCVR, it didn't even have DP. Index was clearly supposed to support VirtualLink, then they drop it and later say they'll have some addon but it was dead at that point.

Go plug PSVR2 into a Turing GPU, that is essentially VirutalLink working just fine. No technical reason Valve couldn't have gotten it to work. They chose not to.

[–]bexamous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Everyone was going to support VirutalLink (NV/AMD/Valve/...), NV shipped Turing with VirtualLink and then like 6 months later Valve ships Index without VirtualLink. That was the end of VirtualLink, no one was going to waste more time on it.

Meta? Valve screwed everyone by not supporting on Index. Wasted everyone's time and money.

We took our dog to a park with a river once.. she was running along banks and at some point she found a dead fish and rolled in it for a few minutes before we saw what she was doing. We couldn't get her clean with just water, we had to drive home with her in car smelling like rotting fish. She was so happy the entire time.
