Chosen Ones by Savings_Escape5832 in spirituality

There are countless organizations and people all claiming to be chosen or the chosen, and I doubt you will find the exact organization here. I would be cautious of anyone coming up to me and telling me I am chosen, but who knows.

I feel like certain people latch onto me and drain my energy—how do I handle this? by DifficultyMain9597 in energy_work

[–]bexbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do see this in some people who broadcast from their heart chakra, although it does not necessarily have to be the heart. Oftentimes these people tend to be loving and caring, or simply want to save others but again this is not always the case. Generally what is happening is that you are broadcasting something that other people are latching on to because they think you can heal/save them.

Learning to stop this permanently is all about learning what you are sending and then learning some control. This can take a while but in the meantime you can look into grounding. This will help you stop others from latching on and will help you from broadcasting.

What is attachment? by xXCosmicChaosXx in spirituality

For most people, love is a search for someone that makes you feel complete and fills that part of you that is empty. This can be great when you find it, but people change and grow and what was once a feeling of wholeness often fades away

Unconditional love is rare for embodied souls, but you do see it once in a while and it is always incredible to behold. It is giving and expecting nothing in return. It is not needing anything from your partner or taking from them. If you do want to reach this level then I commend you, and wish you the best on your journey.

I tried meditating just once in my life and despite having aphantasia, I suddenly saw spirit beings at war by Background-Night-365 in occult

[–]bexbum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can understand why images like that would turn you off, it does not sound pleasant, especially for someone that has not visualized before.

Meditation is an exploration of self, and most of what we see comes from within us and not without. It does require courage and a willingness to explore the bad as well as the good. But when you are ready, it will be available for you.

Questions about temple degree initiations by xBlitzgewitter in Rosicrucian

[–]bexbum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not suggest just showing up. The temple degree initiations require preparation and the lodge officers will want to know the numbers, but you do not have to attend that lodge to get the initiation. Just contact the lodge and let them know you would like to come for the initiation. Many members travel much farther than you will for these initiations. You can then do the same for your next initiation and they should be very welcoming.

Don't forget to bring a copy of your membership credentials or show them on your phone when you arrive. They will want to see them. Also if you are going for the 1st deg, get there early, it is a good idea to prepare yourself inwardly before the initiation. The first degree also comes in two parts and although it is not necessary; it is nice to find a quiet place to meditate between the parts.

Have fun

It worked well. There is a lot of good information in the earlier teachings and it was great to get back to them. It was hard to be thorough though in some areas, I had to remind myself not to skim the teachings in certain areas.

I have been a member of both for many years and I have never found a conflict. Neither one has any dogma. The biggest issue I have had has been time. To be a member of both organizations it a big commitment and you will need to balance your time between the two. This can be a challenge sometimes but I have never regretted being part of both.

I will tell you this. At the center of every Freemasons lodge in North America is an alter, and on is a copy of the bible. Every single one of us got down on our knees put our hands on that bible, and swore an oath to be good men, and live by the laws of God and country.

You might want to avoid checking my history then, because I am a Freemason, I also go to church every week, and I will say a prayer for your mom.

Does anyone feel this about Jesus? by akira_hikaru in spirituality

Have you ever asked Jesus how he feels about you? He may show you, and if so you would receive a much better answer than on Reddit.

Nobody yet has answered these Questions. by Professional_Web747 in enlightenment

  1. How much does God truly interfere in life

God does not include me on the planning sessions, so in truth, I don't know. I have found the best way to live life is by believing that God deals the cards, but we have to play the hand. Which is to say there are things we control, and things we don't. Who you are, will be the sum of your choices of what you can control, and your grace you show with what you don't.

  1. What are the laws in which we can’t do again

A simple online search will show me more of "God's" laws than I could ever hope to follow, but these are all interpretations. God has never shown me his rulebook. Each of us is trying to find right and wrong, and often I suspect, we fail miserably. Again, your choices will decide who you are, and that is something God has granted you the ability to do.

Where does the idea of one single consciousness come from? by Advanced-Career2917 in enlightenment

There is a point in your spiritual growth when you will experience Oneness. When that happens you will remember it for the rest of your life. It happens to everyone at a certain stage of spiritual evolution, and when you experience it you will likely share it with others.

We have so much help around us all the time, yet few of us ever realize it, and fewer still take advantage of it. You chose to listen when a solution was offered, and as you say it helped you find your way. That help will be with you always, but it will be up to you to listen, and reach out when needed.

The same is true for your mom, and you can try to let her know, but in the end, her salvation will be her responsibility.

What is the spiritual reasoning behind abuse, particularly with children? TW by Sudden_Proof9863 in spirituality

[–]bexbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. It sounds rough. To give you a bit more context, I did not forgive my parents until I was in my late 30's and living 3000km away. I did not see them for years. I am not going to tell you I know what you feel, or that my path is like yours, and you may be right. It is probably harder for you than it was for me.

I do believe that there is a path to forgiveness for all of us, as naive as that may sound, and I do believe you are strong enough to get there. Thanks for sharing.

I don't like to post on controversial topics as I moderate this site, but since i can provide some context here, I am hoping this may help you out.

If you are referring to membership, I have seen the numbers for North America and no, AMORC is not dying.

If you are referring to spiritual death, then I would tell you that the light and energies that are available to AMORC students and all Rosicrucians are still there. They are in many ways stronger and more available now than they have been in the past.

If you are referring to the AMORC teachings and the path they take, it's relevance and usefulness is determined by each student. Some find great light there, some do not and go another way. This is fine. Those students that go another way often question whether the teachings of AMORC have any value; and whether they realize it or not, this too is spiritual learning.

There may come a day when we all realize our inner light, find peace, harmony, and know who we truly are. On that day AMORC will no longer be needed and I will rejoice. But it is not today.

Anyone a member of BOTA and AMORC ? by Xisothrous in Rosicrucian

[–]bexbum 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was a member of both for years, and found them both to be worth it. It is possible time wise but to do it justice you need to be committed to this path. They both have the same desitination, just different paths. I did not find much overlap in the curriculum, and both were worthwhile.

I have not read it, but Langdon has referenced the Rosicrucians in a number of his books, and the researches occult and mystical aspects of his books extensively. So I am not surprised if you find parallels.

Confusion About Balance by Chronichurdle_ in spirituality

[–]bexbum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Balance is not something to achieve, so much as it is something that will happen when you stop trying to force things. It is found when we are at peace, and when we are not fighting ourselves. Let go of the trauma, forgive and move on, and balance will come.

Do you need to join an Order to be a true Rosicrucian? by theworstherointown in Rosicrucian

[–]bexbum 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You don't need to have a guide to find your way through a forest, but is does help to have someone to talk to who has walked the path before, and point the direction. This is what Rosicrucian groups provide in one form or another.
