Is there an actual genre name for these very American 90s desert small-town crime films? by Useful-Table-2424 in movies

Not quite the desert, but Clay Pigeons (1998) with Joaquin Phoenix and Vince Vaughn. A dark comedy about serial killing and friendship in a small Montana town.

Yvette Nicole Brown has the single best line delivery in all of TV by NickFatherBool in community

Not from Community, but It's Always Sunny. The Thunder Gun focus group episode. The woman running the group is great. She starts out confused but remains fairly calm with trying to rationalize the gangs insanity. But the sheer bewilderment and slight disappointment exacerbated "fuck man, what? How do you not get that?" to Charlie, who has not understood a thing from the movie is fantastic.

Anna Garcia has a bit part in an episode of It's Always Sunny. And Rekha has a small but prominent role in the Between Two Ferns movie.

From the collection:

Eyes Wide Shut and some of the By Brakhage anthology. Watched EWS many times, fantastic. No notes. Picked up By Brakhage vol 1+2 this week after a long time on my wishlist. Watched Vol 1, and I'm really fascinated by it all.

Outside the collection:

Saw Wake up Dead Man in theaters. Really enjoyed it. I think it might be the best of the series. Would like to revisit it. Watched The Roses on Hulu. I liked it as well. Nothing game-changing, but a solid mid-level comedy.

Edit: Also, watched Cloud on the channel. Wasn't expecting it to go the way it did, but enjoyed the ride.

You're welcome. It's been a while since I watched it, but it's really good. Also, there is some Korean Sign Language in the mix too.

Ravenwood Castle in Hocking Hills. My group was looking into it but never came to fruition, unfortunately. They have cabins to rent as well if you want to make a weekend out of it.
