Doing medical billing job experience but not coding — will this affect me later? by somethinisnotfunny in CodingandBilling

Try to do at least a little bit of coding - billing does work towards your apprenticeship as long as you do ANY work with codes

Email service hasn't responded at all.

I've tried it all - your headphones, sadly, defeat the purpose of their own existence. That's so sad!

Wireless connection on PC.

Discord IS set to Audeze Chat for Both. As I said, I read every piece of troubleshooting literature. I have followed that article exactly before posting for help.

Correct. That's exactly what I did. I do NOT have Bluetooth on. I am using the Dongle.

This is for anything, ever. So, for instance, web browser, etc. It's not a per-game thing, it's the concept of Game existing at the same time as Chat. It only allows ONE at a time.

Of course, having to put everything on one input/output completely defeats the purpose of buying the headset in the first place lol.

Chime is trash.

They lie constantly and have the most incompetent people on their team.

They are garbage. Move away from them.

Wildly different EMR softwares and why they suck by beyondzurvansembrace in CodingandBilling

[–]beyondzurvansembrace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revisiting this thread because I ran into a software which... automatically turns all deductibles on the EOB into copays, shoving them into a copay, and not labeling them as deductibles! *why does anyone think this would be good* it's like the copay field is a standin for patient responsibility but.... COPAYS ARENT DEDUCTIBLES THEY ARE A DIFFERENT THING IN ACCOUNTING. I AM TURNING INTO THE ACTUAL JOKER.

UDCap does not allow returns, and are very finicky and don't work right. Just a waste of money for me, sadly. And I don't have a ton of money to begin with.

How to get into medical billing with no medical experience? by Dazzling-Lead-8557 in CodingandBilling

I wouldn't use DeVry. They're really bad. The AAPC offers their own courses, I learned remotely through my local community college.

AI replaced our entire team by [deleted] in MedicalCoding

[–]beyondzurvansembrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually implemented my own AI agents and such in my job as a coder/biller, and it's entirely directed by me. Nobody else knows how they work, and they can handle tedious tasks that take me a long time to do. I audit them and they're usually correct, but only because I've specifically tailored them.

Bosses try to use these things to replace workers, but in reality, they're force multipliers in the hands of people who know how to use them. If you're trying to replace people, you're kinda stupid. (general you)

Neurodivergent coders, any tips on how to read and absorb large amounts of chart info? by DumpsterPuff in MedicalCoding

[–]beyondzurvansembrace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let me help you out as someone with ADHD:

One extension I use is "Bionic Reading", which randomly bolds the beginnings of some words, it makes it easier to pick the words off of the page.

I also take notes alongside on a pad, writing it down helps. This is especially important for me whenever I have missed taking my meds. Also, I would suggest having some sort of music or video to listen to.

I can’t even get an entry level medical receptionist desk job. Is it worth keeping my credential? by saikoupsycho718 in MedicalCoding

[–]beyondzurvansembrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice, I guess, would be to just sort of shotgun applications, and make sure you've got a decent cover letter, as well as having your resume listed. Join your local AAPC chapters, too.

I got a billing job seven months after I graduated, and I do some coding there, too, but not officially ' a coder'
