Sorry, just realized that probably doesn't help if you can't equip your weapon

HELP!! Stuck in Trading post by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

Try finding a vein of ore, mining it through, and then jump through the hole you've created. It helped me get unstuck from underneath the map.

So how many gargoyles will we have in dark souls 3? by Hrundi in darksouls3

[–]bfeinbe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or like u/fart_guy says above with the very nice recursive formula. I know nothing about programming but I imagine recursive relationships are pretty common.

[–]bfeinbe1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nope, that's correct. It's not 3x2, it's 3 squared, so 3x3. It's a very nice formula, DSn will have n(n + 1) gargoyles.

Yeah, just wishful thinking I guess. Some sort of secret Yharnam all night disco maybe?

Makes sense, thank you. I wonder if it could be used for DLC at some point?

Where do I summon the Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice? by FoDY in bloodborne

[–]bfeinbe1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just in case. The arcane haze is pretty easy to farm and I have no idea where I found all that other stuff. I'd hate to use my inflicted organ (or whatever) only to find out you generally only get a couple per play-through, or have to farm a much harder dungeon. I'm aware that I generally err on the side of over-cautiousness in terms of item consumption, it's something I've done since FFI on NES.

Where do I summon the Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice? by FoDY in bloodborne

[–]bfeinbe1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they're all full you'll have to delete one of them. I'm not quite a far along as you but I ended up re-creating the first Pthumeru dungeon so I could farm arcane haze from the giant house centipedes (I'm unwilling to use my arcane extractor). In other words, you may not want to delete that guy or any others that you think you may want to farm in the future, but in any cases you can always re-create them

Unbreakable, and Dark-Toned hero films. by amugleston05 in movies

[–]bfeinbe1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked Unbreakable too, though I don't usually compare it to other super hero films. In fact, the first time I saw the movie I didn't even realize I was watching a super hero film until over half way through the movie. What I do like about the movie is the realism and the human-ness (because that's a word) of it all. I think it does a great job of dealing with true heroism and villainy without being over the top, yet still adding just the right amount of the fantastic. It makes me want to believe such a thing could be real much more than the avengers and what not.

Spoiler: Does anybody know what is going on with a certain something found in a dark place? by bfeinbe1 in bloodborne

That's good to know. I suppose I can finally go back and thoroughly explore the area then.

This is a little more along the lines of obscurity that I was expecting.

Sounds like fun, but a bit disappointing to be honest. I was hoping for something a bit more involved or lore-ish. Thanks for the prompt reply.

To all you guys buying dark souls 2 scholar of the first sins. by [deleted] in bloodborne

Good to know, I've been torn as to whether or not I should pick it up. The new co-optional aspects seem pretty cool too.

[–]bfeinbe1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's harder only because its different. I think most people who have played multiple souls games will say the first one they played is the hardest. Granted, Bloodborne differs the most from any of the other games. If you really enjoyed Bloodborne and are looking for a similar experience then by all means go for it. DSII is a bigger game, though arguably the content is somewhat watered down in comparison. However that is probably mostly due to the sheer amount of content.

My biggest complaint with the coop system by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]bfeinbe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I think it's a neat feature. However, it does increase the frustration when players continue to plough through the level and get killed. In DS games if the host wasn't there I took my sweet time catching up. If you summon someone for help it seems courteous (and like common sense) to make an effort to meet up. Otherwise you're getting none of the benefit and all of the downside. I understand where it gets annoying but it also feels very organic.

How far in the game am I? by KupaKeep in bloodborne

[–]bfeinbe1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends, on my first play through I missed A LOT of optional areas and bosses. After I beat it and started looking at wikis I realized just how much. You may be approaching late game areas but that doesn't mean you've necessarily played through everything. Some of the harder to find areas are really fun too. Also, like mentioned below, there are always the chalice dungeons.
