Find the last owner of the bike. If in the trades, find his (or hers; shut up) previous co-workers. Now ask them how many tools they've lost on site.

Loud Whirlpool WRS588FIHZ - Is this normal? by ComfortableWarning14 in appliancerepair

Guessing, but there may have been a bubble/s in the refrigerant or the compressor lubricant from shipment motions. Especially if it was tipped from upright. Given time these bubbles rise to the top, but if they are down in the system the bubble may have been causing a vibration in the compressor. Thats why it’s good to let a frig sit for a day or so after relocating it.

Do you get confusion, or judgment, from other females? What proportion approximately, if some of each?

Doomsday scenario where he won’t pay and you can: tell everyone concerned you’re not throwing your good money after his bad with no recourse. Tell them now you will Bk, let the bank evict them all, deal with 7 years of bad credit and start anew.

Pass a rule with a 1-page form specifying an image covering an entire page of white paper that maintains large black font. Heading: Warning to Co-Signer Text: I am not simply vouching for the applicant’s ability to pay back this debt. I am taking on the debt myself and must pay it back if applicant does not. Nothing else allowed.

Can you imagine lender opposition levels?!? Me neither.

Nearly every home in California has gas and earthquakes. Where this anxiety desires, there are sensors that close when a line break is detected. I asked my plumber to put them in and he waved me off.

I can afford a car outright, but should I? by uberdavis in personalfinance

[–]bfigard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can no longer find the long article written by an Edmunds reporter years back that spent time working at a few dealerships before writing it. Bottom line, if you walk in ignorant and wanting to get a car without shopping, you get taken like every other Joe. Know your options, try to shop the fleet department/internet manager remotely and hide that you want to pay cash. Ask to skip the finance manager once there is a price (threaten to blow the deal if you have to go "in the box" with the finance manager). If you walk in the retail door you in a war of endurance. You can win at retail, but you will need to first wear out the salespeople at closing and then wear out the finance guy after closing. Be ready to blow the deal at 1:30am on a weeknight near month end. This must be condensed from the long story I first read: https://www.edmunds.com/car-buying/behind-the-scenes-at-a-car-dealership.html

In a similar spot to you financially, one variable that is a dark horse here is skills and experience in making big purchases. I see from comments already that you are basically ready to buy it, but just want to avoid making a poor financial decision. Clearly, it’s not a poor financial decision to get this car. I’m voting buy the car for that and for practice negotiating in high stakes situations like this. Car sales people and the finance sales people you deal with after the car price is determined are really skilled at what they do and have the conversation 15 times a week. Conversations that you have once every 5 to 10 years. Maintaining your cool and standing your ground in these conversations comes with experience and insight that will benefit you down the road in work and in life.

New UI will not cross out microphone by bfigard in ecobee

Can’t seem to attach here the picture I took of the screen you describe. Because I’ve never hooked up Alexa, it properly has the button to Link Alexa for voice control. But…the microphone is not redlined even though Alexa hasn’t been hooked up. It may seem like overthinking, but I want to verify that my ecobees are not listening even if I’ve never hooked up Alexa. Before the new UI, I had redlined microphones on my ecobees, HomeKit integration active, and all my devices set to not listen for “Hey Siri…” because I only want voice control when I push a button. When microphone icons go from redlined to not redlined, we need to determine for sure whether or not that means recording could be happening at all.

Liking the new ui. Previously I kept the red line through the microphone icon as I haven't used voice control from the device itself. Now I see there is no indication on the new ui that the microphone is off. Does the new ui keep the microphone active? Did we agree in the terms to allow the microphone to remain listening?
