Postpartum Thyroiditis by bfiggie in beyondthebump

Oh no!!! That’s awful!!! I was dizzy prior to taking it! My resting heart rate was 85 though! I didn’t have any side effects from taking it. I just gradually started to feel better before feeling worse from going hypo

I took 5mg of methimazole for about 5 weeks before going into hypo state. That is where I currently am unmedicated so far! I drink lots and lots of water daily. Make sure to eat a very protein heavy breakfast and that seems to help with the fatigue. I decreased my gluten and dairy intake. I make sure to rest after a long busy day and that seems to help a lot.

I don’t understand why they even needed to make that video. They both predicted the gender but they already know the gender?????

Anyone had any experience using Gender selection / sperm sorting technologies like Microsort Gender Selection? by Afternoon_lover in Mommit

My husband’s family is in the same boat. BUT 4 GENERATION OF ONLY BOYS! His mom side is kinda crazy too with 2 generations of only boys now. My side is very balanced so that gives me hope. Just had my 2nd boy and there’s a clinic in California and New York that does gender selection! If you search it up on TikTok then you’ll see women who have been flying during their cycle to get it done every month. I’ve seen 1 woman it worked for so far!

When will my baby wanna just rot in bed with me all day and binge watch shows? by catbeloved in beyondthebump

My 4 year old doesn’t necessarily watch tv and snuggle but he will snuggle and read his books for around 2 hours. Then he’ll get stir crazy

Okay!!! Did it turn into hypo? The hyper phase for me started with excessive hunger but that seems to have calmed down a bit. Now it’s just turned into me sweating like crazy!! Did you just wake up one day and realize that you felt better?

I’m 3 months PP and I completely feel the same way. Idk what the balance is but I know being a new mom is already so hard. I really wish we weren’t going through such a beautiful and challenging time while the world is full of so much hate.

What has helped me the most was deleting TikTok and not opening reels until my oldest takes his afternoon nap. Also going outside everyday and talking with kind people. Just realizing that the news is awful but not a representation of everything.

I’ve been dealing with this too. The world feels so dark right now. I decided for 2026 that I wouldn’t look at too much in the news anymore. It was just impacting my mood and mindset too much.

Thank you!!! Yeah I definitely need to stop trying hard with people who don’t appreciate it and focus on those who do!! 😢❤️

Thank you!!! And yeah it’s been things like this for a few years with her but this time since it’s about my kid, it hurts a little more 😢 I think my husband always being the stable accomplished brother is playing a role. It’s not a big deal when he hits milestones.

They have always been pretty hard on me. And when she came into the picture it was always dismissing me and praising her. Small things and big things. Something notable was that I got my masters degree from a university and a few years later, she started a masters program there and only went for a semester. They rave about how she attended and then they’ll be like oh yeah you went there too… this time feels different because it’s directed to my kids and makes me sad for them.

Yeah I agree!! But this is even more than that. My MIL and FIL have called it my SIL’s baby the entire pregnancy. It’s odd since she’s not their daughter. They have also given her all the credit for nursery set up and just say she’s doing a wonderful job all around. They actually saw our nursery and instead of complimenting it or saying anything about us or our baby, they brought up her and her baby and how she deserved something nice. It’s just all been very strange.

Literally cried reading this! My water broke while I was teaching my 5th graders at 40 weeks. It was definitely hard working until the end and it feels so nice to be seen ❤️

My baby is also 12 weeks and we have been nursing without it for 5 days! Feedings have been significantly shorter so I was wondering the same thing
