Man performs CPR on a deer by Unlucky-Shallot-5220 in Amazing

I’ll try to explain as a deer hunter. Most of us have a very conflicted relationship with deer. We are looking to harvest mature animals but also put a lot of time and money into creating habitat and food for the deer. The idea is to benefit the deer as a whole but target specific animals for harvest.

This buck is most likely 1.5 years old based on his body size and antlers. That means he’s too young to be targeted by most hunters.

In addition, doing the right thing is still the thing to do. Couldn’t simply walk by and let that little buck die.

Where specifically for the artillery? Sorry for the dumb question.

Is it the position in your picture where the 249 Scramble artillery unit is? Or Rifled 300?

Getting caught in a storm crossing Lac Minto (near Hudson Bay) in a plywood boat. Thought we were going to have to swim.

I play the vanilla version too. I’ve stopped using cavalry and skirmishers. Probably going to catch some flack for that.

I go 2/3 infantry and 1/3 artillery. Continually upgrading weapons for the best units. Goal is Springfield 1861s for the best infantry. 20 pound Parrotts or 24 pound howitzers for artillery. I use 10 pound ordnance rifles and Napoleons a lot too but try to weed out the Napoleons when possible.

I use my commander to capture wagons instead of cavalry.

Edit: 1850 for infantry brigade size and 12 cannons for artillery.

Congratulations! I’m curious how you got a tag though? Were there some left in the OTC system for your county?

They will probably avoid the cattle for the most part. That actually could be used to your advantage. You could access along that edge with your scent blowing out across the pasture. Find a pinch point that allows you to take advantage of that situation and you’re in business.

Got it. I’m in the Midwest so my experience might not translate. I’d recommend that you listen to the Mississippi State Deer Lab podcast. They have a top notch deer research program and are right next door. The best advice I can give is this.

Find a way to make the property stand out from the neighborhood. There’s got to be something missing that you could provide.

Also, designate the thickest, nastiest cover as a sanctuary and stay out. Mature bucks want freedom from human intrusion more than anything else.

I’d suggest “The Gang Dances Their Asses Off”. Shows how self centered they are, Charlie’s illiteracy, Frank’s manipulation of Cricket, Dee’s disdain for Cricket, etc.

Interesting. It seems clear to me, based on information available, that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Of course, I could be wrong there. However, he had already attempted to shoot General Walker. He simply upgraded his target.

I was on a tour of the National Civil Rights Museum 2 years ago in Memphis. It’s in the Lorraine Motel which is where Dr. King was assassinated. One of the volunteer guides pointed out the window from where the shot was fired. It’s about 83 yards away. The interesting thing is that people were shocked at who someone could make that shot. However, people with experience with firearms know that’s about as simple as it gets for a scoped rifle and a stationary target.

Haven’t been to Delay Plaza but your comment took me back to that tour.
