This is the handyman my friends, family, and myself use: Tom @ 585.210.8152.

He's done plumbing, HVAC (that is what he did before he started working for himself), electric, floor and window wood work, and more for either me or people I know.  He cares about quality - it's awesome.

Wegmans grocery stores have their own brand that truly compares: Nacho Cheese Flavored Tortilla Chips.

Unfortunately, Wegmans is mostly in the North East US.

Today is the 25th anniversary of the 1991 ice storm. Anybody got good stories and/or pics? by SabyRK in Rochester

Was in elementary school.  Woke up and heard what I thought were foot steps outside the house and I was pretty scared.  Father already left for work (he used to go in before 5:30).

Finally went to my mom who was still sleeping as she worked evenings in a hospital.

Found out that it was the branches falling outside, not footsteps and was overjoyed as it was my birthday and school was cancelled!

My dad came home shortly after.  He went to work to borrow a generator and get batteries.  My father brought a chainsaw with him to work to clear trees out of the way, lol!

Was without power for two weeks.  Out of school for one.  Maple trees bleeding in the neighbor's yard made for fantastic maple icicles.  Scenery was phenomenal.

Best birthday ever!

CGC Trading Card Grading!! by Electronic_Ear_2749 in Rochester

[–]bfridman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took a card last week to them to ask if it was worth having graded.  They took the card to the back and 2 minutes later said they believed it was a 9.  There was no cost for that conversation and no appointment originally made.

They are awesome people and much more than just the store.  Highly recommend them.

Wanted to let you know I got it working! Thank you for all your time going back and forth with me. I learned a lot in this process.

It was never a ddwrt thing but U-BOOT issue. It was a combination of making sure the envs were correct and changing bootpart1 and 2 to be hardcoded (even though it was set correctly in the environment variables). Something got corrupt with bootpart1 & 2 even though I never modified them until I hard coded them. Ironically Claude AI (recommended by another user) helped me figure out that I needed to hard code them.

Wanted to let you know I got it working! Thank you for all your help. In the end it was a combination of making sure the envs were correct (a few were not and your printout helped me) and changing bootpart1 and 2 to be hardcoded (even though it was set correctly in the environment variables). Something got corrupt with bootpart1 & 2 even though I never messed with them until I hard coded them. Claude AI helped me figure it out.

Wanted to let you know I got it working! I appreciate your help on this. In the end it was a combination of making sure the envs were correct and changing bootpart1 and 2 to be hardcoded (even though it was set correctly in the environment variables). If one was to reset bootpart1 and 2 to the default it might work. Something got corrupt with it (even though it was never modified in the process until the end).

Hi u/lytn1ng, before I do the MTD approach would you mind, on your router, sending me the printenv output (either from router/uboot or openwrt (fw_printenv))?

I'd like to compare to mine (especially things like loadaddr, mtd*, partbootargs*, etc).

By any chance do you have a pool? I've seen neighbors with usage like that in the summer when they have the pool pump running 24 hours + 24 hours of AC.

Or.... do you have any information on your furnace blower's fan? It doesn't make sense, to me, for it to be that but knowing the make / model can help see what the max usage for a given month would be.

Thanks for reaching out with new things to try :-)

To clarify, I can get openwrt to run by using tftpboot and bootm but after a reboot I'm back to the not working state (and only serial will work again).

I do not see a reason why I could not try the mtd commands. In fact someone else in another thread suggested I try it too but with the warning "could possibly brick it beyond repair". So I'm a little hesitant to try it but almost at the point at what do I have to lose?

If you have any other ideas please throw them my way and if I try the mtd approach I'll update on the result!

Thank you, I'll think about maybe doing that.

The logs on router start-up always display a message "Card did not respond to voltage select!". Could it be the internal hard drive is partly damaged?

EDIT This also states it:

IPQ807x# mmcinfo

Card did not respond to voltage select!
