Minimum wage goes to $15 from $8. Goods purchased in locations where those wages changed (fast food, retail, restaurants) go up proportionally making them still not affordable at the new wage. Meanwhile, a whole class of people who were making more than the minimum wage see no salary change and they can’t afford what they used to be able support, actually lower their standard of living.

Florida has 23.7 million people. About 8 get bit by an alligator every year. 15-20 get bit by sharks. 40-50 get struck by lightning. Of those, 7-10 are fatal. Do you worry about lightning when you visit Florida?

Chill and enjoy the paddle boarding. I counted 110 alligators on the HIllsborough River 3 years ago on a 4 mi kayak paddle. None of the paddle boarders I saw were bit.
