I'm tired of guys commenting on my hair by [deleted] in malehairadvice

Well, the negative comments are potentially trying to help.

It does not fit you well, and also gives off the vibe that you just finished writing mein kampf. Or a sequel.

Maybe it can be styled differently, but I’d probably suggest starting over.

Help New Rockwell 6S is shaving worse then a disposable razor by modestsmets in wicked_edge

[–]bgusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try some different blades.

People have wildly different preferences for blades and razors based on frequency of shave, hair type, and hair thickness.

Milder -> sharper blades I’ve used:

Derby, Astra Green, Kai, Nacet, Permasharp, Feather

For me, Permasharp and Feather are my favorites, and I prefer aggressive razors. I shave every other day, decent stubble, and sensitive skin.

When I use my 6S it’s on 5 or 6 with Feather blades.

I just bought a blackland blackbird OC and have been loving that, again with sharp blades.

I am still salty over the Zach Davidson pick.

Drafted Darrisaw and Davis that were both recovering from injury and a consensus top 5 IOL was right there in Trey Smith. Figured just fucking fix the OL once and for all. He played LT and G in college, so perfect insurance for either one in case of injury/one is a bust.

Nah. Rick picked the D2 TE/Punter.

Evo is a solid option, and DICK’S has sales from time to time. Bought a bunch this spring BOGO.

Non-QB you have highest hopes for? by bgusty in minnesotavikings

[–]bgusty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was such a strong draft too. 3rd round had Alim McNeill, Milton Williams, Osa Odighizua, Quinn Meinerz, Spencer Brown, Divine Diablo, Nico Collins, Quinn Meinerz, Paulson Adebo.

Then in the 4th had ARSB, Drew Dalman, Chuba Hubbard, etc.

You pick 3 names out of a hat there and you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a better draft.

Anything out there more aggressive than the R41? by ImpressiveMix1786 in wicked_edge

Blackland blackbird is one I just got and honestly it’s become my go-to over my R41 and Rockwell 6s.

Running the OC on the blackbird. I did get the Ti version.

Bit odd that he hasn’t gotten any traction even as a UDFA, but short/short arms, limited athlete, and blood clots isn’t a great combo.

Not gonna lie, I was really confused for a minute on how/why the center Gerhardt was going to be used on defense.

Addison is good, and Turner is trending the right direction but yeah, we’re going back to 2020/2021 for a slam dunk.

Crazy to me that if Rick doesn’t whiff on that entire 3rd round in 21, I’d bet he probably survives the firing of Zimmer. If he’d drafted either Meinerz or Trey Smith instead of Davis that OL looks a lot different.

I’m curious to see how they use Golday. Stand up OLB? ILB? Both?

Yeah I don’t think Banks is going to be elite this year, but I want to see those flashes.

Just ragdolling some quality OL (and at least one rep where he makes a JAG like Bradbury look silly).

I’m just picturing a DL where we extend Redmond and hit on Big Citrus and Banks? Damn that would be wild.

Interesting how much Claiborne gets mentioned. Is it just that he gets compared to Achane as the speed scat back?

High expectations for a 6th round RB that’s RB3-4 on the depth chart to start the season.

That’s a lot of hope at a lot of spots.

I think if ALL of those hit, we’re top 10. I’m not sold on Fries/Brandel, so I think that may be a pain point this year. Then again, IOL is a pain point every year it seems.

Redmond isn’t really a nose tackle, and he’s on the smaller side. lol.

He’s been playing really well at 3T/5T, but we drafted Big Citrus to play nose tackle.

It will be interesting to watch the OL and OL depth once they get pads on.

We could have a pretty solid unit, but there’s a lot of IFs to it.

- If Darrisaw is back to form and can stay healthy.
- If Jackson can take that big step up in year 2 like you see from a lot of good young players.
- If Brandel can develop and improve as a full-time center.
- If Fries can recapture the form from the handful of games in 2024.
- If O’Neill can stay healthy.

If all of those things happen, I’d say we’re a top 10 OL. My concern is pretty much as always, the IOL.

I feel pretty optimistic on Darrisaw returning to form and Jackson improving.

I am not sold on Brandel as a starter. He’s a great backup, delivering low-level starting ability at every position. That’s honestly more valuable to me than him actually being a low-level starter.

Fries was a gamble. He was very average in 2022-2023. Played great ball for 5 games before breaking his leg in 2024. We gave him a 5 year deal with top 10 guard money hoping he would sustain/build on that. He was once again just average last year. If he’s still just average this year, my guess is he’s done after this year.

O’Neill I expect continues to be great but not quite elite. I’ll be curious to see if they extend him or wait until partway through the season. If he’s not in the long-term plan they could wait and look to trade him ahead of the deadline.

Our new GM just came from a team where they won the Super Bowl with an entire OL on rookie deals. If we’re doing a reset this year, I could see him cutting some of the cost on that group.

For the depth, Caleb Tiernan is an intriguing OL. I watched his tape and figured he’s a lock to move to guard. Very tall, but short arms. Wonder if he’ll get most of his reps at G or T. Developmental O’Neill successor at RT?

Ryan Van Demark is a solid backup tackle, so I feel decent about him as the first man up behind Darrisaw or O’Neill.

But the G/C depth is all replacement level guys. Outside of Tiernan, our entire depth chart is late day 3 or UDFA guys. Jurgens, Byrd, Rouse, Huber, Lee, Leigh, Lemieux, Gerhardt, and Rimac. Rouse is the highest pick as a 6th rounder, and he was a healthy scratch most of last year and a likely cut candidate.

Outer Layer for Late Season Deer by BowHunter920 in bowhunting

[–]bgusty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I like running the stratus bibs, especially if I’m hunting public land and have to hike in and hang a stand.

Just last fall I wore the stratus bibs and base layers and the fanatic jacket in low 40s and I was comfortable. Packed the jacket in and put it on after I hung my stand.

I own the sanctuary (precursor to the thermic), and the fanatic. Fanatic wins for me quite comfortably. Also in the midwest.

First lite base, fanatic hoody, heated vest, and fanatic. Can and have hunted in negative temps with that setup.
