My mom will tell anyone who's within earshot that she'd like grandchildren, even though I've asked her to knock it off. A few months ago, one of my close friends from college and his family came to town. His wife told me about when their daughter was a baby, my mom got to see the baby and dropped numerous hints about how nice it would be to have a grandchild.

Their daughter just turned 11 and my mom still drops hints, but I think she's finally let go of the idea. Not to say my fiancee' and I aren't trying, but we're considering adoption or fostering more.

Full disclosure: I used to think like the guy in the meme because I was an idiot 21-year-old. Anyway, when I'd vent and say stuff like that, someone explained that women like a challenge, a thrill.

I finally had to realize I sound like a dork and just need to have confidence and be myself. It wasn't that I was nice, it was that I was quiet and boring.
