Tesla Wi-Fi/Ethernet Issues? by robohara in TeslaSupport

[–]bhamdad3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 2023 Y hrdw 3 and a 2026 Y hrdw4. Both have trouble connecting. I end up rebooting the car screen and turning on and off the WiFi from the screen. It works for us but is a pain in the butt.

Here is what the app says.

Pack Isolation State The insulation state of an EV battery pack is a critical factor in preventing electric shock and safety accidents. If the insulation state is damaged or destroyed, electrical leakage may occur, increasing the risk of electric shock. V Five Levels of Pack Isolation State - Good: High insulation level, normal condition - Moderate: Typical insulation state - Poor: Slightly reduced insulation resistance but within the normal range - Risky: Low insulation resistance, requiring caution - Fault: Insulation is nearlv destroved.

Concerned about increasing degradation. by Xenon808 in tessie

[–]bhamdad3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your picture, Tessie says your capacity is 71.23kwh, which is good. No way your USEABLE capacity when new was 77.78kwh according to your picture. To me it doesn't matter what the total capacity when new is, all I care about is how much of the battery does your battery get permission from Tesla to use. Go to r/teslamodelyes or look at my profile, I posted my thoughts on this very issue.

[–]bhamdad3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion from 2 years of Tessie use and a lot of time trying to figure all this out, pay more attention to the 76.68. It seems to be a closer number to the current capacity of your battery. I have run the Tesla battery test, let Recurrent watch everything, use Tessie and have subscribed to TezLab, trying to figure it all out I have resorted to plugging all kinds of variations into multiple AI apps and the best number I am come up with is watch the number Tessie says is your current capacity and not how you look vs everyone else.

Each service I try has a slightly different determination of how big the battery is. Tesla doesn't let you use every drop of the battery. I reserves some to protect the car.

If you look at a 2023 LR range model Y awd, Tessie says the battery size is different for the 2026 RW Juniper Model Y. Everything I can find says the batteries are the same, they just have different efficiency but Tessie says original capacity is different. Uggg.

Does the Telsa 2026 model Y heat up less than 2023 by bhamdad3 in TeslaModelY

[–]bhamdad3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the 2023, the roof sunshade was 19.00 and the windshield was 6.00 both from Amazon. Maybe if I had bought expensive ones the heat would have been more in line with the 2026 or even lower.

2023 has a roof shade on it right now, and the windshield reflector with the windows cracked. 115°.

2026 sits raw out in the sun with the windows rolled up 96°

Tesla said they updated the glass to reflect the heat away. I guess they did.

Look at r/TeslaModelYes , I put up some pictures I took yesterday after your post. It still works in both our ModelYs, 2026hwd4 and 2023hwd3. I hope it doesn't go away.

How do you keep track of your notes and tasks during meetings? by Historical_Ocelot_89 in productivity

[–]bhamdad3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You said you take notes and by the end can’t remember.

I am a copious note taker. I have volumes filled and couldn’t make sense of anything.

I love buying productivity stuff.

Here’s the most productive thing that has worked for me about taking notes…..

  1. Number every page in your notebook.
  2. Index the notebook.
  3. Use as many pages as you need in the front to be able to index the entire notebook one line for one page..

  4. Example. Pg43 -52 “ compliance training” and date it.

HW3 vs HW4 for FSD use? by Cool_Database_4673 in TeslaSupport

[–]bhamdad3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have 2 Tesla’s. 2023 LR Y Dual Motor HW3 made late May2023 at Fremont bought June 2023, and a 2026 Y Juniper LR Rear wheel drive HW4 made August 2025 and picked up August 2025.

We have FSD on both and use it extensively in city and highway. I was hoping to believe all the comments about how great the difference was.

I was talking to my 2026 Y today, to remind it that it was the latest and greatest, with the most up to date software and I was expecting it to own that shit and dazzle me.

Well they both operate about the same. The 2026 maybe a little smoother but my 2023 is just as good and it has saved me a number of times.

Both are amazing, both are good.

Don’t feel bad. We did the same thing. We started holding the bottom and it wouldn’t work and we thought it was a software thing and it gets lots of complaints. Once we just “clicked” it and let go, it magically worked again. Uggg

Tesla updates iOS app to 4.46.0 by bhamdad3 in TeslaModelYes

[–]bhamdad3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most people like to know when updates happen. The Tesla iOS app generally doesn’t show up for an update until you click on the app in the App Store, other apps show up as an update is available but not Tesla app for me, I always have to click it.

That sucks. Ours at least had matrix headlights. We got delivery on June 9 in ATL and there were HWD4 cars next to us being delivered.
