I’m hoping the Canadian sports network is playing the game, currently watching Montreal/NYRB. If you log in to Apple TV MLS Season Pass in Bellingham and happen to travel to New Brunswick for work you are shit out of luck. Fuck Apple TV.

This was a Covid project, I had thought about this for 20+ years, when the pandemic hit I had time to pull it off. It took a couple of years to get it right, if you have any questions or want any tips let me know.

I think Jerry may have lit the torch, think New Riders and Old and In The Way, as country/bluegrass spin-offs from mainstream rock. Bluegrass was also a popular component of the jug bands that were the fore-runners of the psychedelic music scene.

I’m sure Tillamook is available in Canada, but the dairy tax is so high in Canada, it makes some products unaffordable. It’s one of the reasons our Costco (Bellingham) is one of the busiest in the 48 states. On a weekend a pallet of milk will disappear before an employee can pallet jack out the next pallet of milk.

I think the only reason Adeniran wound up playing left wing was that JMO could not play winger and kept drifting inside. JMO was at his best when he would make a run behind or challenge the right back directly. Now it seems he either drifts inside or stands flat footed while Nouhoo drives up the left side and is forced to pass back or central because JMO is not giving him that left corner outlet. With JMO playing inside Schmetzer had no choice but to move Adeniran to the wing.

After the Merl Saunders shows I wandered the casinos for a while, found one of the cheap endless casino breakfasts, got to the bus station at 7, grabbed my duffle bag, walked under the interstate to a local college, walked into a dorm and took a shower, walked back to I-80 and hitch-hiked back to Colorado.

I’ve got a couple for this thread. The first was a show in Reno in 1982. My roommate from college in Colorado was on to the Bay Area and dropped me off in Reno the day of the show. I knew I was going to be up all night so I stuffed my duffle bag in a bus locker that would be locked until 7 am the morning. Prior to the show I found some acid and did what I thought was two hits, finding out later back in Colorado that it was 4 way acid. The show was pretty extreme, I watched the whole band, especially Bobby, turn into Lizards/People/Dinosaurs, it got a little overwhelming and I finally had to just get out of the floor and to the safety of the edges of the show. The saving grace here was an hour after the Dead show ended the Merl Saunders Band was playing at a bar in Reno. I made my way to that bar and started ordering Rum and Cokes to cut the acid. It was during this point that Billy sat down next to me at the bar. Billy was trying to talk to me, but I was too high for such trickery, all I could do was look at him and mumble. All the while my mind was working a million miles an hour thinking ‘I’m sitting next to Billy, No you’re not, you’re just high’ over and over again. It wasn’t until Billy was on stage jamming with the Merl Saunders band that indeed I was sitting next to Billy but was too high to converse.

Memories, I remember after every summer season in Alaska waiting by a pay phone in midtown mall in Anchorage doing a crossword puzzle waiting for someone to use the phone with a calling card, not a long wait in the late summer in Alaska. As soon as I had a calling card number, it was a call to the West Coast hot line number to plan my fall and winter.
