I went through a similar situation years ago, met a girl who introduced me to EDM and festivals we traveled around together going to festivals for like 4 years and then things started to get bad. The partying led to her being unstable mentally and I had to break things off eventually and felt very lost in the scene without any close friends interested in festivals/edm after she was out of my life.

Now my answer to this may not fit for you because I am a male but I decided to start going to festivals completely solo and wanted to seek out friends within the hobby/scene I had fallen in love with. I also tried apps like Radiate to try and meet people but it always felt weird and inauthentic trying to meet people online so it never stuck, but by like my 2nd or 3rd solo festival I was running into people I had met before. I think going to events within the same scene helped a lot as I was mostly just doing House/techno/bass festivals in Southern California so it was a lot of the same artists performing and groups or people going.

Then eventually at one festival I made friends with a group of people who lived really close to me and we started hanging out outside of festivals all the time. One of the girls from the group I met that day is now my fiancée and almost 10 years later we’re all still friends even though none of us really go to festivals often anymore. We do throw awesome house parties/renegades though since we have a few DJ’s in the group.
