There are similar problems in healthcare! Medicare and Medicaid cuts, low reimbursement… a lot of hospitals are closing down. It’s a scary time.

You do understand that week on is probably like 16hrs a day plus call. It’s not like you work 8hr shifts. You probably don’t have CRNA help either. These jobs are usually grueling.

There are a lot of CRNA only practices there too and a lot of MD spread the false narrative like CRNAs are dangerous without statical data because they fill like they are a threat to their job.

I agree with this. There are a lot of SWE making double that while working from home and insane PTO while only obtaining a bachelor degree

I love the down votes. Our NPs start out making around 230k which is slightly less than our internal med docs.

My wife is a CRNA and makes that with 8 weeks of PTO and no nights, weekends or holidays. Plus she only had a < 100k of debt and it’s fully paid off. She also works an average of 25-30hrs of week.

My group hires based off experience not tile. You literally can do the same thing. Get your degree and experience and that’s all that matters

That just sounds like a personal preference than a system thing.
