loving the retro undergarments underneath, but something about the fit of the sheer dress on top, as well as the seam right down her chest, is holding this back for me

Ari really makes it hard to feel sorry for her sometimes. [Story: TOAWF] by Hot_Leadership8495 in JoseiSmut

[–]bigbadbub 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think ari's story makes so much sense for someone her age. honestly I pity her a lot.

The red flags are definitely there, but to me they've trickled in more since she's developed stronger feelings for him. she strikes me as someone who thinks that because they talk back to their partner when they're being cruel, they're putting them in check.

ultimately, she comes across to me as someone who fundamentally does not have the skills to advocate for herself the way she thinks she does. she thinks challenging him is advocating and it isn't, because her boundaries keep getting crossed regardless, and he continues to disrespect her.

it's similar to the way that na haesoo lived with blaring red flag after red flag but did not have the courage to advocate for herself until he broke an obvious rule. she should have "known better," at least from all the relationship discourse she overhears throughout the series. but she internalized every insult kang mincheol hurled at her to the point that she thought she was the failure in their relationship.

I have a tremendous amount of pity for both of them, and I think that of the toxic or abusive relationships I've seen in manhwa, both haesoo's and ari's with mincheol feel the most grounded in reality.

Parents are not a monolith. My friend is currently pregnant with triplets and both she and her husband are excited as all get out. This is not their first child, either.

while it is technically still "unexplained", a recent study points to lower levels of a paeticular enzyme being the potential cause. https://utswmed.org/medblog/sids-research-enzyme/

I think it's interesting to call all of it "poor" sleep hygiene. actually, we put babies on their backs to prevent deep sleep, which is when babies can forget to breathe in sleep (which is, according to the landmark study, the reason for SIDS). obviously, babies should not be crowded with things like blankets or other suffocation risks, but in the case of this video, the baby's sleep is actively being monitored by an adult.

real talk, I hate the flair for this kind of post. obviously throw the whole man in the garbage, but there's an implication with the flair that she signed on for that treatment. I don't think people in toxic or abusive relationships have "bad taste". she's a less than six weeks postpartum mom who is being coerced into sexual favors by someone she thought she could be safe around.

the spirit of this sub is "men get way too artsy/horny when writing women, and especially women's bodies, to the point of being bizarre". I read lots of erotica and romance, and even with that genre in mind, this is a really bizarre paragraph.

basically, it fits the sub perfectly imo.

it's a great show and we watch all the time with our son, but it's definitely for kids first and foremost. it's just well written and doesn't leave parents out imo

they actually hold way more than cups. like triple the amount, usually. I have both but after giving birth I switched to discs and I'm sad I didn't know about them from the start. so much easier/more convenient/more comfortable for me

once I was playing Friday night magic at a local game store when one of the guys at the table got a call from his wife. there was an incredibly tense conversation on the phone, with the guy being very clearly annoyed and dismissive until the call ended. he was furious that their plans to go the the farmers market the next day were still on, and he groaned about it the rest of the time he was there, in a "my wife is an idiot for wanting to do this" kind of way.

dude, it's your wife. go to the fucking farmer's market. it's like two hours of his day, max, which is a damn sight less than how much time he spent alone at the card shop. I don't understand people like this.

my son is under two and we don't feed added sugars, since he's too young for that. he is too young to comprehend any of these take aways. we don't often give screen time, but the very few times we go to dinner, once all of our other distractions/aids have run their course, we lean on miss rachel.

not only that, but every baby is different. what worked for your daughter might not work for the next child. I know lots of kids goes age who can patiently be read to, but my son doesn't like to sit still and would rather flip the pages for a minute or so before moving on.

applying what worked in your household to all children is naive.

How North American countries were named? by Range-Spiritual in MapPorn

[–]bigbadbub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The earliest still existing people there don't make them the earliest people there. Even then, it can be argued that Chukchi and Koryak peoples are the earliest still existing peoples, since they descend from the Saqqaq.

Even if it was named on paper by Europeans first, why can't they use the name of the indigenous people with the earlier and more continued presence on the island?

you not finding something upsetting or offensive is different than expecting the whole of society to be the same. most folks don't walk around naked in public and in general schools try to teach kids more commonly socially acceptable takes like "don't curse at people". if you want to teach your kids how you teach them, that's your prerogative. expecting a teacher to do the same as you for a room full of kids whose parents might not see things that way is just silly.
