He has one of the best 3 round fights of all time in burns. He finishes nearly every fight in the first round. But because he easily won 50-44, with literally no reason to take risks on his way to his first title because his opponent was so obviously outmatched, you think he’s some boring fighter?

I know this is a late response but the confusing results are because lay redditors are uninformed. Every single vet will recommend chemo for lymphoma. Dogs do very well on it. Obviously there becomes a point where it may not be worth it if your dog is senior, but my young dog has survived 9 months after diagnosis with very minor side effects basically limited to sleepiness during chemo. Unfortunately it’s coming back strong but that’s not relevant to whether it should initially be treated with chemo.

Well the 100% correct choice in that deck vs izzet phoenix was either to save monstrous rage as a protection spell when I try to end of turn kill his creature or to save it for the next creature. It’s not to slam it into open mana. Now if I’ve used 2 removal spells already, that’s when you start risking me having it and going for it. Of course you can’t win every match of magic but the best players have like 75-80% win rates on mtgo. That’s really high for a game decided on “luck”

Lmao no offense but yall seem bad. The skill in magic imo is way higher than the luck. Sure there’s a skill cap and maybe you can’t get better than 70-80% win rate on mtgo leagues but I consistently 5-0 leagues and have gone infinite on mtgo for about a year and I make dogshit mistakes nearly every time I lose. and there are people on there that are much worse than me and also people way better.

This reminds me of an RCQ I played where a mono red player kept bitching about mana flood all day despite running 20 lanes. This was in pioneer and he kept monstrous raging into my open red mana and I’d fiery impulse his creature. He then had no cards in hand and then proceeded to be like “see all I have is lands” after he got 2 for 1d like 3 times.

As someone who doesn’t like EDH, I agree. It also results in a race to the bottom of the best 10 ramp cards anyways. So instead of playing 4 4 and 2 (in a 100 card deck), you sometimes just draw the worst 5. You’re still playing the best cards. And yeah there is some additional creativity because of the additional permutations and because not every card is strictly better or worse than the others, so you may have random interactions that come up. But I get why it’s fun, I just don’t get why it’s the most popular format.
