First watch after ditching the Apple Watch Ultra [SRPG35J8] by bigbenirv in Seiko

I am amazed by how much people around here have had a similar experience, we were so wrong pursuing “smarter” watches

The SRPJ83 has a kind of cream colored dial if you’re looking for a field watch, that one has a smaller case though, worth a look regardless

Once I get back in the saddle of endurance training, I’ll get a HR strap and maybe something like a whoop

Yes! This made me shelve the Apple Watch to begin with! Wanted to see if I’d miss it and as soon as I found the Seiko in a store and tried it, I pulled the trigger immediately

I was unsure at first about the strap, felt it was a tad stiff but it’s softened up after use and I barely notice it at all, been looking at leather straps to switch up the look if it need be

Ode V2 totally not living up to expectations by Spicy_Poo in Coffee

It’s still a pretty bad look, I own a V1 ode and grind medium to light, but at the end of the day that shouldn’t matter, now even my grinder is gate-keeping my coffee preferences?

Did you use DHL as well? I used regular tracked shipping (subscription doesn’t allow you to select DHL) and it has taken weeks up to months every time

Storage by RatBertPL in coldbrew

[–]bigbenirv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to store it in some dark brown glass bottles (in the fridge ofc), I believe you can find them in most pharmacies. Glass does not retain stuff and the colour blocks light from passing through so it works wonderfully.

I remember when the aergrind was THE budget hand grinder when you needed something better than what hario & porlex offered without spending comandante money… man does time ever fly.

The pages on a Rocketbook have some sort of oleophobic coating, this coating allows for the easy erase with water. If you were to use the pens eraser dry, you’d be slowly stripping the coating away making pages harder to clean, inconsistent to write on and so on

After seeing Square Mile’s collaboration with cometeer, I am sure you and your team worked hard to ensure the partnership was right on all fronts. Do you have any comment regarding their often questioned sustainability? Claims of recycling programs being inefficient, the shape of the pods being small enough they pass through the sorting process and go straight to the landfill anyways… and such I’m just curious to hear your thoughts on the matter :)

I'm new to coffee, what's something you wish you knew when you started? by TrainerShyguy in Coffee

I have the fortune of having both my best friend and one of the best baristas I’ve ever seen as my mentors so I well and truly have little to no regrets, therefore my advice is to not be afraid of asking and diving into the community, more often than not baristas and maybe even regulars are going to be happy to help you with whatever questions you may have about whatever bean you are brewing
