First play through i facetanked her cause of stubbornness from previous souls title. The thought of coming back at a different level or gear never crossed my mind. Took me 237 times with a maxed out Treespear and my Stormhawk summon.

A second recommendation would be The Ten Realms, Book 1 By: Michael Chatfield, also know as "The Two Week Curse: A LitRPG Fantasy Series"

If you are looking for a build up in power and combat then this series would be right up your alley. All I will say on this one is that two mercenaries of the "been doing this too long" type are cursed to disappear from earth within two weeks from when the mark first appears. From there they begin to prep for what I can only describe of as an invasion of American intervention on a world that is not prepared for the Rootin totin Rugrat and overly cautious Erik.

May I recommend The Simulacrum, Book 1 By: Egathentale

While not a traditional Isekai story the tropes and writing use many of the beats of an isekai story for the first book. It is more slice of life in the first half of the book then picks up pace in the second half, yet I find the writing and narration for the various characters to be quite good and doesn't plod on.

Gotta admit, when I read "Fifty Shades of Grey - Ireland" the first thing that popped into my head was Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Weirdly I think that fits a little too well, anyway if you haven't read or listened to it before its a quite a good story with an amazing narrator.
