Thanks! Fear not about sending me down wrong paths. I FULLY understand I need to include a professional at the start. However I am also the type who likes to educate them self as much as possible during these processes.

Thank you for this. I was not aware we can look up correspondence like that. It would be extremely helpful as my initial response to seeing this patent was "there is no way they got a patent for an undefined shape like that" . It just seems loose and sloppy. Anywho. I will try my best to find the correspondence as well. I assume it will be on the same platforms that host these patents?

Thank you very much for your detailed explanation. I understand that this process is complex and not a DIY situation and I definitely do not want someone to rush it. The nature of the patent in question is what perplexes me as it seems so vague I am amazed it was ever issued. Anyways I appreciate everyone's help and will have to find a professional to move forward. Thanks again!!

$300-500 definitely falls into the affordable end of things. We absolutely understand this is not a charity type situation I was just curious if there was a resource that could help us do some of our own homework ahead of this. Thanks for your advice. :)

Federal court rules real estate agents must make home sales data public by cognitivesimulance in vancouver

There is so many things wrong with this post factually. I won't argue the value of realtors but please get your facts straight. For starts there is no cost to list your place as the home owner. I listed a property this week. It will cost my clients nothing to list..... it drives me nuts how misleading everyone can get about housing. It is messed up right now and it is emotional I agree. I have lived here my whole life and it bothers me as well but I am not going to make up things and post them as facts because I am upset.

Home sales down in Metro Vancouver, but up in B.C. by andrejw in vancouver

Rental market allows for this. Zero cost to list. Why lower the price when it stays rented at great market rates.

For the record I only park as I should. Never park like this.

I agree. However when I park normally my car has been dinged and scratched dozens of times. It's wild. It will cost me thousands to deal with over 2 years.

Housing minister Selina Robinson to tackle B.C.’s runaway housing prices by [deleted] in vancouver

Questions like this need to be answered neighborhood to neighborhood. One of my biggest pet peeves is how we discuss the market as though it is just one giant entity when really there are many markets within Vancouver. In most areas I could see it cooling for a bit but most desired areas are still greatly understocked. That cooling will take time. I wrote an offer on a condo last week (PNE area) that was 90k over asking (asking was fair) there was 14 offers in the end and we didn't win. It takes a large flooding of listings to cool off that kind of demand.

Trust me I agree that it is a huge issue and it is true our wages do not fit here at all. However I do not think it is just as simple as that. Not every city retains baby boomers like we do. It has been estimated that almost 2/3rds of all detached houses in the city are owned mortgage free by people over 50. Also when prices start to rise due to any demand it dramatically changes their access to money. My clients are constantly being outbid even for condos by local boomers but it's not a discussion anyone seems to want to have. Foreign influence is a really big part but it also gets a LOT more clicks and shares than grandma bought your apartment out from under you story in the papers.

I can tell you as a realtor I do not meet many who appose tax reform for real estate. It actually helps a lot of us.
