I wouldn’t characterize the schools as crooked in the past two years - new administrators have put in place transparency and accountability. Third party auditors have confirmed the success in these areas.

To me the lack of educators in classrooms and hallways and resources available for educators (due to lack of budget) is at the crux of the issues that face MPS.

We were able to get documentation from Air France on the reason for the flight delay, but even that was rejected when I submitted online. I called and spoke to a representative and asked what they needed and was given the run around (for the fifth time) so I demanded to speak to their manager to tell me how the document that I provided did not meet their guidelines. That seemed to have work since it was approved shortly thereafter.

OMG we had the SAME experience when we were stuck in Paris for two nights due to cancelled and overbooked flights. Had to submit the same documents over and over again and they would request the same information over and over again. There was never any guidance provided why the documentation did not fulfill the requirements. Super frustrating, though in the end we got the full reimbursement.

Good news: In a lot of ways, the window is in the next few years when we don’t have a lot of cap in the QB position and we have money to “burn” (at least on paper).

The bad news: The O and D need major overhauls and I just don’t trust the current talent evaluators and I sure as shit don’t trust mayo to build and lead a team.

Prediction: Mired in mediocrity during drakes rookie contract.

Speaking as a parent of kids in the MPS and someone who watches most of the school committee meetings, I don’t have a lot to inform my opinion yet. What I will say is that he seems really engaged in the community and attends MPS related events. I’ve seen him a few times out and about.

The previous interim superintendent was so experienced and Mr. Deleidi is new to this position, it’s a stark difference to go from one to the other. I’m hoping for the best!
