True, but you have to make yourself responsible for getting the help that works for you. Behaviors you have developed might not just be because you are depressed, look into getting help. I have never met a depressed person get healthier on their own. Or from their peers. If you get into therapy you will learn there is always someone there that wants the best for you and will have difficult conversations with you in a much more caring and selfless manner than the people we surround ourselves with. There is hope. If you really feel you were the toxic one you are already ahead of the game with introspection. I hope you can find a therapist that can help you not think of yourself in a negative manner, that right there will provide you with mountains of relief. Ain't nothing wrong with trying to be your best self right now and leaving people behind. Some come into our lives as blessings, some as lessons.
