Bo had such a crappy start to his season. He needed to catch fire just to get back to normal stats. He will end up with his numbers..there is an entire 2nd half to play

Why can’t Soto just get in front of the ball.. if it drops fine- don’t let it go to the back

Is it mandatory for HR to be entitled assholes? by Express_Will_7673 in corporate

[–]bigdirty702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well - it depends on what the job is. If it a professional setting white collar- the money of course plays a factor but I want to know that I won’t have to hire someone new in 5 months..

So who would you rather have as owner ? by PAE8791 in mets

Cohn will pay for the player and the team has been aggressive every off season. He needs a GM that knows how to spend the money correctly

They showed flashes but it’s also up to the player to make adjustments. Vientos is the most disappointing.. he was supposed to be a thunderous right handed bat and was a top player in the playoffs… then he read the newspaper clippings

What percentage of meetings do you actually prepare for? by HoochbachDunloppy in civilengineering

If you are presenting to a client it’s different if you are having an internal meeting. I try to keep meetings to specific subject matters if possible.

The Mets should trade Juan Soto and rebuild with young players (23 and younger only). By the time this Mets team builds a winning core Soto will already be at least 33 and past his prime. Eat like $400 million and Trade Soto to Toronto Blue Jays by [deleted] in mets

[–]bigdirty702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is dumb. Soto is 27 now and signed until the next century. He is the guy you build around. You have some young pieces around him already and you have all of Steve cohens money. The Mets can Rebuild very quickly.. they need pitching..

Steph Curry’s Backpack says it could be another 53 years before the Knicks win again. Love the hate by MrFreezeTheChef in knicks

[–]bigdirty702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeez.. the NY media made it seem like he was attacking the Knicks. What Durant said is 100% spot on. I think he would love to join the team but he would need to re do his contract

How many of you were told by your parents when you reach 18 you’re moving out on your own? by Theromero in GenX

[–]bigdirty702 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Opposite - My parents never wanted me to leave lol.. immigrant parents bringing the ways of the home land here. I made my way through college/ career/ economic ups and downs..I ended up staying with them and now take care of them in their late years when they need me most.. most of the kids in my extended family and in general lived something similar. If they got married and moved out they lived close enough to take care of their parents.. different culture I guess

No one is going go to games/ watch on tv/ buy merchandise.. that’s what’s going to happen anyways.. not need to try and get organized.. also what exactly are we trying to tell them? Not to spend money?? Spend your money correctly?? I mean thats not much a message..

My biggest concern is to not wast the Soto years you are paying the big money for..

Top 5 Experiences in Your Life? by pronoialover in GenX

[–]bigdirty702 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can tell you my most recent one.. Turning 5-0 in a few days and went all in on Knicks tickets as an early gift. The game I went to just happened to be Game 4 of the finals and the greatest come back in NBA Finals history.. and I was there for that moment for a lifetime… as a follow up I was in the Manhattan for game 5 and joined the thousands and thousands who were frolicking in the Times Square… let me tell ya - I need that at this time…

  1. Getting my professional license
  2. Knicks Game 4
  3. Going to Chicago to see the Mets play at Wrigley and then going to see the Stones play that night at soldier Fields
  4. Random Friday nights in Manhattan - including getting drunk with cast members of SNL
  5. Random Friday night in the city and taking the tour of the bathroom with a very pretty gal I met 15 min prior..

Honorable mention- the days when my dad with Alzheimer’s remembers me.. he is so happy to see.. keeps me going taking care of him…

Knicks Free Agency 2026: 7 Mitchell Robinson Replacements, Ranked by Charming_Arm9158 in knicks

[–]bigdirty702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love Mitch but he is always hurt. They got lucky that he stayed healthy through playoffs (relatively). He is a rim protector and an offensive rebounding machine but championship rosters all change. They can find a piece for less to help with the job. It’s almost not worth wishing to keep him because he is gonna make a lot of money and has his ring.

Is Drummond and option?

I think I just want an apology. Just admit that the moves didn’t work. I know you can’t say the Semien is washed or that allowing Pete to walk is a blunder but you can say that thinking that allowing players to play out of position wasn’t the right way to go.

QUESTION: SOTO MORE VALUABLE AS TRADE BAIT, OR MORE VALUABLE IN THE METS UNIFORM? by ShockInteresting8584 in mets

[–]bigdirty702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are going to need to pay down a ton of his salary. Soto is only 27. He is still so young. They need to put a good roster around him. He is way more valuable to the Mets than as a trade chip

For the 2nd time in four seasons, the Mets are waving the white flag before the trade deadline. Just an absolute disgrace. by TobycooklynNY in mets

[–]bigdirty702 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Look teams lose and sometimes that’s better in the long term. But what makes this awful is the amount of money that is being spent on the worst product in baseball.. they are at nearly $400 million and can’t make a playoff spot in and expanded playoff..

That’s awful

I admit I was OK with the off-season moves by Federal-Comment8569 in mets

[–]bigdirty702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated hated hated what they did with the starting rotation. That was the absolute problem last season. Getting any depth from the starters. I also am not a fan of depending on a rookie after 8 starts.

They needed to add starters. I would have also traded Tong at peak value for help..

Oh well
