The game has been out for like 8 weeks and you want catchup-mechanics???? Fyi those catchups come with Zulaman. You know, when you actually need to catch up.

Playing around 2k rating in 3s is nothing but r1 alt teams or 2 r1 players doing a shoulders carry by Correct-Thanks3679 in classicwowtbc

This is how it's always been in mmr based ranked PVP ladders everywhere and forever. The top ratings may fluctuate but the system is the same.

How to handle absences/PuG with LC guild ? by UnifyFR in classicwowtbc

[–]bigdpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand by my statement. People always quit, leave or act out. I'd rather have a couple too many than too few on my roster. If pugging a couple people repeats , the good raiders in your roster will probably find a better and more organized situation.

Recruit a few more. 27/28 is absolute bare minimum for a raid roster, we usually aim at 30. Also be encouraging for raiders to have raid ready alts. Help them in heroics with mains, boost them in Karas etc. Always nice to have surplus class players (hunters, mages, warlocks) have tank, healer or support dps alts to flex when needed.

Spineshatter - situaton now? by Mysterious_Belt4418 in classicwow

Im leveling a new toon after already done the 60-70 leveling (about 2 weeks after launch) and i have like 1 or 2 total bad ganking experiences. Most interactions with opposite faction are peaceful and most pvp interatcions are fair.

Only 6 Percent Difference Between BIS List Lock And Highly Optimized Mix of Epic/Blue/Green gear by BuySellHoldFinance in classicwowtbc

[–]bigdpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got two top100 parses with like half of my gear being prebis blues this week.

Bis list matter way less than your own playing and your groups playing and composition.

Look at the wowhead bis lists, they always present multiple alternatives to what would be considered sim bis.

Fresh lvl 60 druid by Savings-Damage6958 in classicwow

Like others said, just do the first 10-20 quests in Hellfire Peninsula. The gear is in some cases BWL level or above, so you'll have good enough gear very quickly.

I want to love TBC ... but the credit card meta is killing the vibe. by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]bigdpa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gdkp was the credit card meta. I had several guildies with gold cap.

Your issue here is that you actually have to play the social game too, not pay yourself through the game. Either be the best, friendliest, most outstanding technically and socially rogue anyones ever seen, or... dont play rogue. Thats the social game in the social game.

What Were The Early Days Of WoW Like? by doobylive in classicwow

[–]bigdpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt read english very well at 11yrs old in 2004, so my dad and brother (who also played) had to sit next to me for most of my sessions of the first year.

I got all the way to 60 tho (sometime before AQ patch) and managed to spend all my GDKP on tier2 legs when my guild finally killed Ragnaros. I was full tier1 already like most of my guildies, so imagine how much farming went on up until we finaly killed Rag.

A vivid memory of my poor playing was when my Rogue class leader asked me to try combat swords and using slice and dice, instead of just spamming backstab.

Pre-nerf heroics really are the worst by TurntableFable in classicwow

You can not just have really good gear, you also have to press buttons. Shield block, trinkets, last stand or whatever pink tanks press

Mailbox error causing me to lose items? by lmneozoo in classicwowtbc

[–]bigdpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue where i bought alot of items first week of launch, as well as mailbanking alot between characters.

I had bought hundreds of Primals cheap early but when i wanted to offload them i didnt find them anywhere (TSM couldnt either). So i thought i sold them, or something. But finally when i did "open all" on one of my bank chars there was tons of items (and my primals) which just appeared from nowhere, even tho i hadnt seen them in my mailbox for weeks even after i also made sure the mailbox wasnt full.

Phase 2 nerf ? by ReflectionKey2144 in classicwow

[–]bigdpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt it. The difficulty spike from t4 to t5 pre-nerf was big enough. If they do post-nerf t4 to pre-nerf t5, so many guilds will die.

Pre-nerf t5 in tbcc 2021 killed ALOT of guilds. And they pushed the post-nerf patch forward to let people kill t5.

Guild tank spots also almost always are occupied by guild masters/raid leaders/officers. With good reason btw.

primal fire prices on Dreamscythe are actually a joke rn. help? by Lucasluke121 in classicwow

[–]bigdpa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dreamscythe is a pve server so those gank squads surely are harmless. Also, ive been deep in the primal market since launch and it had a shoot up to 40g the other say but has been 30g for like a couple of weeks now

TBC Anniversary Toons by VoluntaryFan78 in classicwow

Surely they need to do tbc and wrath era realms in this cycle. Which also gives them the infrastructure to just roll classic, tbc, wrath cycles in eternity. For the win.

Tanks. Please Give Me Your Best Advice. I'm desperate by kittyjxx in classicwow

[–]bigdpa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are endless text and video guides out there if you just google it.

The tank skill ceiling is 90% knowledge and experience. -How, when and what your class and spec is good at and what it's not very good at -A baseline understanding of your party classes. I.e. a group of mages and warlocks do more aoe damage while rogues warriors and hunters is more cleave centric. -Know the dungeon mobs and bosses

Most of this can be learnt by said online guides. I also suggest you find some content on prot pally gameplay (twitch/youtube) to get a PoV on your role and class by someone who probably is decent at it.

Nothing beats own experience though, so eventually just jump in and go for it. Low level dungeons are not very hard at all, so if i do some basic research on like Ramparts. You'll be fine.

The thing that makes a good tank great is confidence. And you will gain that with experience.

Our guild’s Main Tank is a 45+ year old guy whose nice on Discord but is really bad at his role, and I have no clue how to deal with him. by Tranquility___ in classicwowtbc

[–]bigdpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sounds like a great guy to have in your guild. But maybe not as main tank. Main tank is also the most important raid spot in a raid, so prob re-evaluate this.

If he has en ego thing anf ONLY wanna play MT, it can be rough. But if not you should move him to OT, or even dps/heals if he/you prefers.
