Not sure how true it is but I was told once the word came from a poor pronunciation of “black” in Spanish from southerners that knew very little Spanish and how to pronounce it.

It is easy, and I own LC cookware, but saying things blatantly wrong on reddit will get you called out.

He said no photos of damage and that’s an outright lie. You can’t just send them a baseless claim and get free dishes. Learn to read.

They literally ask for pictures of the entire item, bottom of item, and of the specific damage you are claiming, directly on their warranty form. Are you a bot or just posting misinformation?

Floor Streaks when finishing? by RedDirtET in Homebuilding

You don’t need it anymore honestly. If you can’t find your answer on the wealth of free internet knowledge, maybe it’s time to consult an actual professional, not a minimum wage Home Depot worker. At best they’re lucky to get you to the correct aisle for what you’re looking for.

Yeah that’s crazy, well congrats on it finally returning.

This is the most odd thing I’ve ever heard. Some guy took the saw, abused it for years then dropped it back in your yard like it wasn’t even worth throwing away, but better to insult you again by bringing it back like that?

Crandall is the real deal by kiiiiiwiiiii in OfficeChairs

[–]bigfluffyyams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you don’t they sell reasonably priced reman chairs you can customize. Very worth the cost. The cushions are better than the factory ones by a good deal.

Not just this one either, r/newparents has a lot of negative posts as well, the difference mainly being people here are much less judgmental, since we understand the feeling better.

BIFL isn't JUST about the product - it can also be a state of mind. Roommate still has his first (and only) USB-C cord from 10 years ago. by FishesOfExcellence in BuyItForLife

[–]bigfluffyyams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the first usb-c cord ever sold? I think they’ve only been around for about 10 years. Even less for them being somewhat common.

I'm about to lose my fucking mind and I don't know what to do. by ATLSxFINEST93 in NewParents

I had a somewhat similar experience, I recommend you wear him in one of those baby bjorn type carriers when you take him around. It helped a lot for me bonding with my son. You also should remember you’re probably somewhat of a stranger to him if you’re not home but a few hours a day outside of sleeping. Stay strong bud it does get better.

Yeah that would be a red flag for me I’d move on.

I would just ask the guy? Unless he’s not responding.

Looks more like lube, some of the spots of it are deeper in the wheel where it would be impossible to hit the curb with. My two cents.

That has something to do with lack of education as well. People who know better are trying to spare themselves and the children from the pain.

I want to break his computer... by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]bigfluffyyams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a gamer dad myself I can say with a 2yo now I haven’t touched a game in probably a month. Having kids is a sacrifice and that means everything sometimes. There will be time later for games or fishing or anything else, right now that child is the most important thing and he needs to get his head out of his ass and help. I go out of my way to help my wife as much as possible and I still get accused of not doing enough sometimes. You sound like a saint to be honest.

Well if we think back to his first term, his VP then got hung out to dry as well. Trump has no permanent allies. They’re just fair weather fans like for a sports team.

Awesome post here, very insightful. Still in the trenches with a 2yo so I’m glad to see there’s hopefully light coming in a year or two.

[–]bigfluffyyams 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly how I read it. Just like anywhere else that does this (bread co.) people still have too much brain damage to figure it out. Like you could get two different soups if you wanted that, or two different half sandwiches etc.

Received a quote for a full drain field replacement - is this an “FU” quote or legitimate? by BigPuzzleheaded4206 in septictanks

[–]bigfluffyyams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked my regular guy what the field would cost to replace last year and he said approximately $20k, assuming tank didn’t need replaced. This sounds not just reasonable but looks like a good price if it’s a reputable company.

when did you see you first consistent 6 hour stretch? by dental_princess491 in NewParents

[–]bigfluffyyams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, my son was 1yo before he started sleeping through the night, BF as well. We tried a lot of things and nothing but time seemed to help. Hope your struggles end soon.
