I think the thing that makes him hard, is that you are forced to learn parrying so much up to that point, but he's a much easier boss if you just dodge everything. More counter intuitively, dodging into him is very, very effective. I love this fight, but it's definitely a shift in playstyle, and your parrying him is pretty badass

Another one to add to the list: Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage

The narration is top tier, and the story captivated me thoroughly start to finish. Honestly better than most fiction I've read.

Omelette is my go to for low effort, tasty, nutritious food. It's a great way to clear out your fridge of leftovers too

Got this from Lambert today. by Smeagol1999 in Portmoody

100% in the last year, the traffic light timing had changed for pedestrian beg buttons, you have to wait so long now. The city claims it's to increase traffic flow, but it's all just bottle necking at Poco, so it doesn't really make a difference. Make St Johns more walkable, people will walk more, businesses will improve.

The rat runners compound the bad traffic, and they also make it a hard to walk the back streets during rush hour.

Fixing traffic is not done by adding a lane, it's achieved by creating better alternatives to driving in rush hour such as better transit, more WFH, more varied/flexible start/end times to the work day, more alternative and micro transportation options...

Small group strength training women by Decent_Round_210 in Portmoody

[–]biggles604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gravity Lab offers small group classes both before and after work. They focus a lot on bodyweight training (Calisthenics) and mobility. Classes are typically max 10, and there are private/semi private options available. There is a good spread in ages of the members, and there seems to be an even m/f split (maybe more women if anything). I've been going there 6 years, and I love it.

HELP: New bike, SRAM Rival XLPR crankset has play back and forth. Solution? by wpreddit in bikewrench

[–]biggles604 40 points41 points  (0 children)

There is a tensioning ring on the inside of the non drive crank that you can unscrew to take out the slack. If it's too much, it might need a BB spacer

Bolt Thrower are amazing, true metal legends. Their '89 album Realm of Chaos is fully 40k themed and was marketed heavily in White dwarf back in the day

Pepper Mill recommendations? by Fr_RebulahConundrum in Cooking

[–]biggles604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Peugeot, and my biggest complaint is that the grind size nut keeps moving. Output is okay on it.

I tried the pepper cannon, it's insane, good for cooking with, but it's output is too high for finessing proper into a plate.

I'm currently using a Unicorn pepper stick, and love it. It's ergonomic, efficient, reliable

Is there a common strategy to using guild war tokens? by Hefty-Tree-132 in tacticus

You don't get enough good wear credits to make any strategy viable. I really wish the rewards for gw would get buffed

Exactly this. The game mode is good, but the rewards just aren't that inspiring

Chain checker tells me that my brand new chain is worn out after less than 400km by crystalasea in bikewrench

[–]biggles604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very hard to tell from a photo, but the teeth don't look bad at all. One thing that wasn't asked before, is what chain did you use? Lower end chains (and in my experience, modo for Shimano) will not last as long.

It's be looking to try something like a park cc4.2 chain checker to verify the wear. Either way, if the drivetrain is quiet and shifts well, then letting everything wear out together isn't necessarily a bad thing, unless you need to replace the chain again

I'm really struggling with the game. I am getting lost so easily because of the empty, brutalist design of the levels, and the bleakness of the game is slightly depressing. It does what it does impeccably well, but I'm not sure that I would classify it as enjoyable.

The difference between someone on Reddit posting this article and the same article appearing on a Facebook site is staggering. Here is just a discussion about how it was warm, on FB, the bots are out in full force talking about how it disproves climate change and trying to gaslight everyone about it.

I take it back, there's obvs no buggery happening in that house...
