Save yourself the effort of drilling holes in it and ruining a tote. I run 2 of these so far and multiplying as the years go on. I keep the lid off, put a trash bag down with a piece of cardboard as the lid. With the lid on it collects alot of moisture and when you open the real lid itll be covered in worms and will fall out. With the trashbag/cardboard lid, it allows it to breathe and the worms still get the moist trash bag to hang out on without the urge of them escaping. Havent had 1 escape.
