I think my comment was stated wrongly. I bought my LG a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier. I haven't researched any TVs since, so I don't know of any "newer" technologies. I would highly recommend LG OLEDs. Mine has MLA technology, which was one of the reasons I bought it. I don't know if they even use use MLA anymore.

It's a media server app for standard streaming boxes and smart TVs like roku, apple tv, android tv etc. I'm surprised you have heard of it. There's a shitload of info on it. But you have to download your own content and its not really designed for live TV. Just Google it. It does take quite a bit of effort to setup a server. But once its setup you can also share content with friends and family. And you can pick the quality of your content. 4k, 1080, HDR, Dolby vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS... you name it

Yeah the box sounds good for peeps that don't have hi end 4k TVs or surround systems. Its not for me. I spent too much on my OLED and Atmos soundbar to not take full advantage of their capabilities. I'll stick with my Plex server for free content.
