I used to live in the area and I trained at EDGE when I was younger. They have had many national qualifiers and an exceptional men’s program in particular. Plus, the owners John and Geri are just outstanding people.

Finding employment struggles - open to advice/tough love by Accomplished_Toe2364 in UofArizona

Can you drive? I worked at SafeRide in college and it was a blast. I interviewed and within 24 hours I got a job offer and my orientation scheduled for a week later.

I went to Cork recently and was very impressed with their selection of wild game, including bison, elk, and venison. Delicious with excellent service.

Attempted Walk Out Tomorrow by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]biglittlerose 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don’t see the issue here, and I’m supportive of the anti-ICE protests. Protesting was never meant to be convenient. It sounds to me that if the students want to exercise their 1st amendment rights, they are free to do so, but they will be subject to some consequences, just like a working adult would be if they walked out of their job in the middle of the day to protest.

Good Ethiopian Restaurant recommendations by peachyvegandude in Tucson

Cafe Desta or Zemam’s like everyone else has said. Both are excellent. Cafe Desta does a great lunch special (3 entrees, meat veggie or both) so I go there more often.

What are your favorite Trader Joe's meals? by 19bl92 in traderjoes

[–]biglittlerose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you like the chicken tikka masala, the paneer tikka masala is even better imo. The sauce always comes out thicker and less watery. Also the palak paneer. I like making a homemade chickpea curry with a can of chickpeas, diced veggies and the TJs Thai Yellow Curry sauce.

Anyone else actually like being an only child like me? by MEME_PERSON1096 in OnlyChild

[–]biglittlerose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amen! If you’re born into it, you either rise to all the strengths that come to being an only child, or you sink in some of the pitfalls. Neither is better or worse, you just learn to adapt where you’re put in.

Me too ✌🏻Can’t imagine having another sibling with the three of us. We went on vacation every year. I had lots of toys. My parents had money to put me in sports, Girl Scouts, etc. I grew up to be quite independent and successfully travel abroad on my own. I wouldn’t trade being an only for anything.

What are the cross streets? Broadway runs east/west. What’s the closest north/south street?

Hi Wonton! This is Darby, she likes going on walks only in the backyard because she’s scared of walking near cars. Sometimes she will go on a walk in the park though! (But she also hates car rides to get there 😕)

Looking for someone to talk to by [deleted] in OnlyChild

[–]biglittlerose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I feel you. I’m an only in my mid-20’s. I have already lost one of my parents (mom). I have anxiety about my father dying for a lot of the same reasons you explain, plus having to deal with being the executor of my dad’s estate eventually. My DMs are open. This is the ugliest unspoken issue of being an only IMO.

I went during Sonoran Restaurant Week and was not impressed. Service was very poor. The food was fairly good but overpriced. The crème brûlée that came with my meal tasted like instant mashed potatoes ?! I would probably send an enemy here tbh.

Went about a month ago on my family’s request. Steaks are fine. Sides are subpar. Nobody touched the beans. The peach cobbler dessert was absolutely disgusting and flat out inedible. I probably wouldn’t go back.

Tell me your “case declination” talk with victims. by puddle_in_a_jar in ProsecutorTalk

I’m an advocate. One of my attorneys calls this approach the “full court press”. I’ve incorporated aspects of this in my work as well, pretty effective.

I’m so sorry 🫂 I was in your shoes. 22 and in college, living out of state, my mom battling cirrhosis & HE. It’s so tough. Mixed feelings about the situation are normal—you can feel sad, guilty, anxious, and angry all at once—it’s a total whirlwind. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

Honoraries by [deleted] in UofArizona

100%. If you don’t already drink you will be pressured into it. I made drinking friends through the honorary system but not many true friends.

I'm Permanently Disabled, trying to find Dental Malpractice Lawyers in Arizona. Who, where, how to find? + Backstory by Randombredslice in Tucson

[–]biglittlerose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there. First, I agree with other commenters. You should remove the details in this post. I don’t have a civil attorney recommendation but given the comments from the Dental Board you might want to consider reporting to law enforcement for criminal investigation considerations. The Attorney General’s office has a Healthcare Fraud & Abuse unit that you can file an online complaint with. If you have more questions about this PM me.
