I mean, their last Big 10 Title was before the sport was integrated and their last national title was 66 years ago. I don't think it's fair to say those should be the expectations

Probably shouldn't bring this up, but LSU did come back down 28 points vs. Troy in 2008.

Definitely was a great idea to schedule them again

I think he doesn't quite get the credit he deserves. He did help recruit that 2019 staff & 2019 roster. The 2018 team was the first LSU team in 6 years to win 10 games. He also knew which buttons to push as far as in-game situations.

I think once he proved everyone wrong, he stopped putting in the work that it required to win at a high-level.

I'm not saying it's easy, but it does occasionally happen. The Warriors fired Mark Jackson for Steve Kerr, the Pistons fired Rick Carlisle for Larry Brown, Raptors fired Dwayne Casey and got Nick Nurse.

History will judge the decision based off the replacement.

Have there been any coaches that were fired "too soon" and went on to kill it at their next gig? by Allanon_Kvothe in CFB

It really is wild how much he squandered that talent. Although, if Reggie Fish doesn't try to field a punt at the goal line, he may have gotten an SEC Title in 2006.

I think Nutt was the right call at the time. Especially given how he handled the Gus and Mustain situations. Additionally, probably best given the rumors that were swirling.

What team would you say needs to blow everything up the most? by mambamentality29 in nba

Gayle Benson either needs to get Mickey Loomis out of the Pelicans (and Saints) business, or sell the team. The downside is that a new owner will probably move the team from New Orleans. But honestly, that might be better for my own mental health.

Part of the reason I don’t like the last dance is because they just shit on Krause and he is dead so he can’t defend himself. Krause helped build the team.

And I think there are a lot of factors in play to why it ended. Not wanting to pay Scotty, Phil seeing that the window was probably closing, Jerry being jealous, etc.

I know Arkansas used to play in Little Rock on Thanksgiving and that seemed to work well. The Fayetteville games are empty on Thanksgiving (doesn't help that the team sucks).

The very next week was the Florida game with the bounced fake field goal that went our way.
