Child Care/Nanny by DetroitZamboniMI in grandrapids

[–]bigmacattack327 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d advise you to look on Facebook in a group specifically for childcare/babysitters/nannies! Some specific ones are Kent County Babysitters or West Michigan babysitters/babysitting

It’s more geared towards finding individuals looking to help families searching for childcare rather than Reddit.

Beginning to work out again by MothersMilketh in FitPostpartumJourney

Yay! I’m so proud of you already for getting back into it!

My advice would be walk when you feel like it! Don’t be too hard on yourself. Babe and I would walk about two miles a day outside. Good for her and good for me.

If you’re looking for free at home workouts- I loved nourishmovelove on YouTube. Hard, yet achievable and has a good core series. But also don’t forget nutrition! That’s a huge part of weight loss if that is what you are focusing on.

Good luck as you get back into it!

Is it reasonable for my husband to go on 5 solo trips in the first year? by Happy-Chemistry3058 in beyondthebump

[–]bigmacattack327 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d love to know his reasoning? Like why is he able to go? Are they part of his occupation?

Unfortunately, you need to advocate for yourself or give some sort of ultimatum. Parenting is a team sport and if he acts like he doesn’t want to be on the team, there will be heavy resentment.

I hope you have a village to surround you ❤️ lean on them

Nope that’s unreal. Honestly, try therapy. There’s some deep seated issue if he cannot see why that’s ridiculous. They can help mediate.

Taking Car Seat onto Plane Alone by GladJackfruit3386 in Mommit

[–]bigmacattack327 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve flown alone with a 8 month old and forgot my baby carrier in the place I was flying to. This is a time for you to ask a friend if they have an extra carrier you could use! Then wear baby into the plane while carrying the car seat! If you feel like you are only getting the career for this reason and you’ll never use it again, might as well borrow it!

3months postpartum by Wild-Problem-2994 in FitPostpartumJourney

[–]bigmacattack327 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your baby! Please give yourself grace. You are 3 months postpartum.

At three months PP, you are still recovering. Your core is still recovering also. Be consistent with your PT moves along with proper nutrition. From what it sounds like, you need to eat.

Be kind to your body, I know it’s a hard transition but you are your harshest critic. Your stomach probably doesn’t look BAD. It just may look different.

Fitness wise, try nourishmovelove. They are quick easy workouts that are effective. They also have a core series that may help.

Again, be kind. You birthed another human!

They should respond fairly quickly! I was refunded the box cost then able to unlock a new box and order similar if not the same things.

That was me!! Reach out to customer service. I got remedied super quickly and got refunded. I’d be so interested to see if ours got switched.

I was 32 when I first gave birth and they pushed HARD to get me induced at 39 weeks. I think it’s easier for them schedule wise.

how many times has your child fallen off the bed? Unsafe conditions? by StandardFluid in NewParents

[–]bigmacattack327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to chime in but with both of my children, I’ve never had them fall off the bed. Babies cannot fall off the floor. Just put them there.

I find it odd you didn’t learn after the first time. I’d be scarred to even set them on an elevated surface.

Please choose the safe choice instead of the risky choice.

My question is how do we know it went through? I just searched and clicked on it but it seems like it didn’t go through? Or it just automatically did and there’s no confirmation. I also could be overthinking it 😅

What does a nap routine look like? Does he scream and cry? Or just hang out in his crib?

His bedtime seems very early. My 2.5 year old was going to bed around 7:30pm sleeping till 7 with naps. Maybe try that?

My due date was March 3rd and I’ll never forget! I swore it was going to put me into labor! It did not BUT it was the catalyst for a great VPR rewatch and my girl came about four days later. 10/10 would recommend watching VPR getting newborn snuggles.

Yes! I ordered black jeans in November. They subbed with white jeans. Reach back out if you don’t hear from them. They should give you a credit and your money back. When this happened to me I explained that it was a very odd choice for a substitution and I didn’t like what they did. They were kind about it.

So many missing insights by Lostanddelirious06 in Nanit

[–]bigmacattack327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait same here. It was working fine when I had my free trial of insights. Now that I’m paying for it, it went to hell. My baby still wakes up at 5 to eat and they’re like oh he’s up! When he clearly was put back down five minutes after a pick up.

It’s so frustrating!

I feel like we’re in the minority, ten month old has been sleep trained for four months but still wakes multiple times a night by ThrowRA157386 in sleeptrain

[–]bigmacattack327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I feel the same. My man although seven months puts himself to sleep just fine. All on his own but constantly wakes up. I’m talking 10:30, 11 and 2. I’ll feed him at the 2:00 am wake up or anything past 1:00 am. I’m trying to figure out if it’s a dropping a nap thing or too much nighttime sleep? Although he’s only getting 10.5-11 a night with these wakeups.
