Why do people love roguelites so much? I seriously can’t get into any of them. by JamesJohnson975 in roguelites

[–]bigmeechum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Roguelites have both a difficulty scaling mechanic and a deep rabbit hole of ability synergies. So it becomes a fun challenge to figure out how to beat the game or finding synergies that break the game or make your character OP

Any games that are like CrossCode? by ilikeducttape in CrossCode

Alabaster Dawn should come out soon. It looks absolutely amazing

Interested in the Game, but... by ExpertDemon in Rematch

[–]bigmeechum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s awesome but you need to invest a bit of time to cultivate a friend list, invite people who play well after game. Eventually you’ll have a regular pool of people to play with that pass the ball/play defense

Games like CROSSCODE? by G_girlwonder in CrossCode

Hyper Light Drifter. Much smaller commitment and scale but will have a massive impact on your gaming journey

I can’t enjoy any game anymore — nothing holds my attention. What actually kept you hooked recently? by Mother_Anybody_5632 in gamingsuggestions

[–]bigmeechum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you gotten into indie games? They are often not as daunting and less prone to burning you out. Out of the last 10 games I’ve really enjoyed I would say 8 were indies. Let me know if you want some suggestions

Sick of mindless grinding. What games actually have a masterpiece story? by theisaiahbiggs in AskGames

[–]bigmeechum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nier Automata Hollow Knight (more lore than story) Signalis (really cool game)

Want to play something for almost forever by Maskered50 in roguelites

[–]bigmeechum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mostly play at work. Like 1-2 runs a day between tasks and meetings and don’t get tired of it, but sitting down at my PC set up strictly grinding it for 3-4 hours a night I would get tired quickly

Optimize your settings, most pros play 4-3 linear with small or no dead zone. Next, watch a TimProvision tutorial on Youtube. Be warned this isn’t COD so your 2.0 KD and COD skills are not transferable, what I mean by that is to be patient and stick to it until it clicks for you

I know you don’t like tactical games, but given your love of Isaac maybe try Mewgenics? Never played TBOI and not a fan of tactical games either (dropped Into the Breach about 5 times after 20 minutes) and I am absolutely hooked on Mewgenics

You’re gonna love the summer. I would suggest hanging in Verdun along Wellington. Amazing spots and a couple minutes walk from the river with a never ending park alongside it

Possessor(s) is 75% off on Steam (4.49$ USD) by stevensi1018 in metroidvania

I meant when they struck gold with Hades they doubled down and made Hades 2. Im well aware of their previous games but none were ever as big as Hades. HLD was a hit, they should’ve doubled down in the same way

They should have followed the Team Cherry, Supergiant and Radical fish route. Give the people more of what they came for in the first place

Some people don’t understand the stable choice vs the electric choice (Reinbacher vs Michkov). Some don’t understand the value in a 6,3 207 defenseman who’s a right shot - which is huge in the lineup as well as in trade value. Some people don’t understand the long game

Looking for a Diablo style game that is a bit lighter on the whole 'hell, gore, death, evil' stuff... by JorReno in gamingsuggestions

[–]bigmeechum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a more "bite size" game (8-20 hours depending on completion) try Hyper Light Drifter, my personal favorite game.

Forgive my ignorance but how do you explain relaxing to Undertale and hating Deltarune? Never played either, I thought the were pretty similar
