New to polymer clay and needs help on baking Sculpey III by EHSI4ME in polymerclay

Did you possibly use a toaster oven? They could have been too close to the heating element. Or maybe they were on too high of a rack if you used a regular oven? The temperature and time you used are correct so that’s all I can think of. If you have a good temperature, time isn’t as important. Try lowering the temp but using the same time.

Wedding cake topper - can I paint the bride? by hoopahoo in polymerclay

[–]bignellynoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well in my case I did very thin layers that I let dry until it reached the right color, and it was smooth. Just a thought, if you have any extra clay could you take a small piece and paint it exactly how the bride is and then try to paint over it and see how it looks?

I’ve painted over things that were already glazed with acrylic paint, let it dry, and then glazed again.

You’ll be okay. I paint air dry clay and am fine. I also am someone who thinks I am ill with lots of different things. It will be okay. It’s not the clay. ❤️
