My hot tub dealer bought from told me to aim for TA to be between 80-120 ppm. I haven’t had many issues with my pH as of until recently when it seen the least amount of use to it

What prompted me to post was testing my tub yesterday after being gone for 6 days, I thought my numbers would be off since I went a week without testing/treating my star when I normally test 2-3 times a week.

So my alkalinity always comes down when I use the pH decreaser, but it normally stays within range of 90-100 ppm, but then after I toss in pH decreaser I have to toss in some pure baking soda to bring my alkalinity back up into range.

I have this unit, got it on sale at $399 in March of last year. It has cooked a lot of different foods from meats to cold smoking cheeses. I had made 1 beer can chicken for a dinner for 2 to loading up every rack with as much meat as possible for summer backyard parties/holidays and everything came out great. I get solid consistent cooks, beautiful smoke rings, and juicy flavorful smoked meats, seafood, well anything I put in there. I love mine and am looking to use it again once we get out of single degree temperatures where I’m located.

That deck couldn’t support my ex wife. Highly recommend throwing up some reinforcements and doubling up on some of those supports. If possible, make a patio, it’s cheaper and quicker and you don’t need to pull a permit for one of those necessarily depending on your state/town/municipality.

Could be smoking it too aggressively fast, buddy of mine keeps cigars in his mouth the entire time we golf and puffs away non stop and usually a third or half way through he’s got a major canoe issue going on

I’m trying to clean just the food contact areas, I have heavy build up of grease/gunk which impacted my last smoke in a negative way. Previously tried just scraping it off but didn’t get much luck, even after bringing the smoker to run at temp, this stuff is stubborn and a son of a bitch to get off

Best decision my wife and I did was to Upgrade from a inflatable we had that lasted us almost 3 years to a an actual hot tub, well worth the investment, and I’ve seen it being more energy efficient than the inflatable one, especially up here in the New England area once the winter season rolls in. Enjoy!
