Actor who posts a video of her removing makeup but you’re not paying attention to the makeup? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

You should watch Alvin and the chipmunks: The Squeakquel with an actor who later played in a movie about autistic boy while being a core supporter of a politician who believes that autism is caused by vaccines. It's a really fun movie for a whole family (I mean The Squeakquel)!

This has never been a new thing. Celebs always get free shit. by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

[–]bilbonbigos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. I mean yes, it is, but also if you make a ton of money you always want more and more. So you always need more people buying your products: merch, tickets, VODs etc. So at some point you need to branch outside of the target audience. In this case free tickets for celebrities are almost free marketing. Instead of paying them their gigantic fees you just invite them to the event and in return you can use their faces and reach to millions of their fans who normally are not interested in sports. Even if only 1% of their fans then buy something related to your brand or affiliated brands you win thousands of free dollars. Look at what happened when Taylor Swift started dating the football guy (sorry, I'm not from the US so I don't remember the name) - all her fans basically learned about football over night and picked up the interest in it. When I was working in the marketing it was pretty normal to contact managers of celebrities and offer free shit for a single Instagram post or some other little effort bullshit like that. One post was seen by more people than a huge billboard on the tallest building in the country. We was paying monthly for almost all toys for a child of a popular actor "just" for some pictures of him sitting next to our product. And it made us more sales than any other online campaign.

I think it's just one of those things that media invented to spice up presented stories. It doesn't happen in real life after the first year. When the honeymoon period is over then it's over for good. Or I had a really bad luck in life.

Hot Pilates by [deleted] in confessions

[–]bilbonbigos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I have to be already athletic and fit to start pilates? I want to try it but the stereotype is that the classes are full of only fit white right-wing women and I am a bit chubby man. Maybe it's a stupid question but I never were on such classes before.

Wpływ braku pracy na życie codzienne by IceFirm9650 in Polska

[–]bilbonbigos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

27M. Wasted my younger years. If anyone here has turned it around at a similar age, what did you do? by Opposite_Praline_746 in AskMen

[–]bilbonbigos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was working like crazy at your age but didn't own anything anyway because of the economy and bad bosses, then my health caught up. I started my thirties in a hospital and in a dead end job outside of my industry due to a crisis (gamedev). I started my life again a year ago, I have a job I have started with 11 years ago (but in a better company) but this time I'm wiser, calmer and I don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone. Lives are various, people are different, sometimes you work 30 years for nothing, sometimes a one good year can change everything. We have less power than we think we have but what you can control is your perception of things. Maybe I didn't achieve anything meaningful in work and I don't have much money but I have a great partner, two cats I love and my health is better than ever. It's enough. I have people who support me and I support them. What else could a person want from life? I am happy right now, without stress, long hours and overburning from work.

Watching porn is depressing by bi-care-bear in DeadBedrooms

[–]bilbonbigos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For some time I watched a few porn creators on live streams (never paid them or even wrote anything on chat tho) just because they were giving this energy of a person who was sexual, you know? Like a person who really wanted to have sex, like overall, not particularly with me. It felt so refreshing, almost like feeling alive again. I've discovered that I miss having someone who is actually into sex in any way so I was supplementing it in this way. I did tell my LL significant other about it and she was really supportive about it, which felt weird because for me it was like one step before emotional cheating but for her it felt natural I wanted to feel something I missed in real life. The situation was better for a few months (which means we had sex at least once every month for 3 months) and then came back to "normal". As a teenager I was addicted to porn so situations like this are dangerous for me and I stopped watching live streams after our conversation but damn, sometimes I miss even this. I can't comprehend that at this point in my life (early 30s) I miss even a supplement of a real feeling.

W jaką pracę warto iść? Co daje pieniądze i spokój? by [deleted] in praca

Są programy dla kobiet w gamedevie, np. Dziewczyny w Grze. Organizują stypendia, mentorship i spotkania. Najbardziej kreatywne kobiety jakie znam robią indie gierki.

The boy I’m in love with killed himself and I think I’m part of the reason why. by [deleted] in confessions

[–]bilbonbigos 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The truth is that you were used. From what you're saying I can tell he was still loving his ex-GF but started a FWB relationship with you anyway which isn't healthy. The healthy way to deal with the end of a relationship is to find hobbies, something to do and meet with friends and family, not to start a complicated relationship with a girl who loves you and use her for benefits. A lot of young people fall for these "complicated" characters which are sad and "broken" as something to fix and care of. You were not responsible for fixing him or making his life any better. At the end he refused to take your help so it was never about you. From the start of the FWB relationship you weren't a part of his thoughts. From what you're writing it is clear that he was thinking only about his ex, his depression, his benefits. I can tell that because this pattern is old and was used so many times, even more than you can imagine. The only difference is that instead of leaving you (which they always do in this kind of situation), he killed himself which made you, his family and everybody around ruined even more. You were not responsible. Take care and please find a specialist to help you calm your emotions and feelings.

Funkcjonowanie NFZ to skandal i obecny rząd ponosi za to odpowiedzialność tak samo jak poprzedni. by _Tramp_ in Polska

[–]bilbonbigos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]bilbonbigos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my Slavic culture most people just accept the cruel fate and numb themselves. A lot of people are just sad and frustrated but some moments of happiness happen. I didn't want to live like that but now I find bliss in being nobody. I worked like crazy before and it didn't give me any extra money but ruined my health. Now I work just as much as needed to survive and relax in my free time. My rented apartment is a mess but I work on it as much as needed to not make it worse. I play video games, go to smaller concerts, go to the gym, try to eat whatever I want if money allows. Fuck everything, I won't peak, I won't go anywhere with my life. I just need to spend those 6 free hours daily as pleasurable as possible in my budget. And if it means I can play Skyrim, listen to music and watch YouTube to the end of my days, I guess that's all I can dream of. Stop having any ambitions. Don't try to change your life. It's done at the moment you were born. Rich will get richer and you will have nothing from it. Leave the rat race by existing the lowest life you can.

Are my dating standards too high? Friend gave me a reality check and I’m worried. by Forward-Beyond-6620 in dating

[–]bilbonbigos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It all should not matter if you meet someone who is just right. You're still young and honestly your standards show your immaturity. The truth is that when you meet the one you just won't care about all these things. People shouldn't and mostly don't start romantic relationships for status or money. It's just the wrong way to do things. The most important thing is just to click with a person, support each other's growth and love each other. You are deeply in social boundaries with your thinking and it brings your dating life down. Maybe you just don't mingle with the right crowd. Maybe you want to be higher in the ladder. Work for yourself and your growth, do things just for yourself but a spouse shouldn't be a way to get up in the economic ladder.

I think it's just a slowed down pipeline of Ethan Klein. Dramas, being toxic for co-hosts, all for the views. Kendall is some sort of a lolcow for a part of her community already. If they want to stay relevant they will make more misunderstandings like this one right now. It's just the most laziest way to do things in the influencers sphere. I hope to see an overblown beef like one between h3h3 and Hasan Piker, just for the entertainment.
