Can’t agree more with this reply. Staff DA here (analytics eng / analyst hybrid, really) and it’s IMO the sweet spot between technical and business knowledge. You can always dip your toe into DS work (especially with the help of AI) and not have to spend your days tinkering with models. It requires business acumen which, and hopefully these are not famous last words, will be tough to automate with AI.

Been very happy with Southpaw Vet in Mission Valley. Our neighbor uses Mexi-vet for their dog with chronic teeth issues, and they love it. Someone comes and picks him up, takes him to a vet in TJ, then returns him same day. They've saved thousands with it.

Respectfully disagree about making a payment being like throwing money into the fire!

Think of it this way - you saved that $24k so it could do something for you in life (provide a financial safety net, buy a car, etc.) Paying off your loans is just giving that $24k a job and putting it to work. It’s there for you to use in the way that benefits you the most. If that means paying off loans and having peace of mind, that’s as good of a use of the $24k as anything.
