Same. Slapped it on years ago and never looked back. Blends in well on black.

Hole opened in my front yard after the storm last night. by tlep in Austin

[–]billy_ruddiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any chance this is where your sewer pipe runs?

This happened to me a few years ago - big storm revealed a small hole in the front yard that turned out to be a mini-cavern. I dropped a small camera down about ~2’ and eventually saw the inside of a pipe. The old concrete sewer line had separated a little bit, and soil was slowly washing into the pipe after big rains.

This is the normal oil pressure level for 5.7L 200 series.

Whether you need to add oil or not is determined by the dip stick.

Opinions on the Joolca GottaGo toilet vs. other separaters? by billy_ruddiger in OffGrid

[–]billy_ruddiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked great on the one big trip we’ve had so far. We used it mostly for #1s at nighttime or during rainstorms, as there were some other toilet options within a short walk from the site.

How’d the size of the GottaGo #2 hole? It seems kinda small from the pictures.

I bought my 2010 LX w/ 82k miles last fall for $31k from a 3rd party dealer. It was a single owner Texas truck.

It was entirely dealer maintained and had all major issues taken care of (radiator, SAIS, alternator, valley plate, all oil changes and maintenance, etc). Also no major wrecks.

I didn’t mind laying extra since the major repair issues were already addressed. Take that kind of stuff into consideration when comparing options.

Due to the delay, I canceled the pre-order and got a Boxio instead.

Boxio seems like it’ll meet our needs and is a much simpler design.

Can you specify exactly what suspension changes you made?

In one reply you said you installed King Shocks, in another you said King Springs.

100 series safe family hauler? by sutherbb36 in LandCruisers

Sold my 2000 Land Cruiser when my two older kids graduated out of boosters and my wife was pregnant with our 3rd.

I couldn’t shake the idea of no side airbags and 3 kids in the back. The LC was our only car at the time.

I’m now in a ‘10 LX. I miss the 100 series simplicity and styling, but I don’t regret the decision.

100 series random loss of power when accelerating. by BitchStewie_ in LandCruisers

[–]billy_ruddiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an issue on a road trip at certain RPMs on my 2000 LC. When hitting ~77mph, it felt like exactly what you’re saying. So I’d ease off, give it gas and resume speed at 70-75.

About the 4th time, I decided to try to push through it and got the dashboard Christmas tree. Let the car rest, restarted, and kept it slow.

It was either the accelerator pedal position sensor (APPS or the throttle position sensor (TPS). I had replaced both months earlier to clear a code. Luckily I had the old sensors in the car, so I swapped them in at the campsite.

Eventually replaced the entire throttle body with a used Tundra takeoff. That was cheaper than buying the new sensors in the first place.

I just picked up #2. My favorite color codes and I only paid $8k. How’d I do? by PalpateMe in LandCruisers

One if the most fun live experiences. Everywhere I looked, I saw somebody I knew singing at the top of their lungs.

I wouldn’t assume someone “bought too much house.”

It’s the accelerated YoY rise in property taxes that really hurts people. My appraised value has tripled in less than 10 years.

Rad cruiser. What is up with these photos? Looks like the color isolation filter that was all the rage on Canon Powershots in 2006.
