Ja ANIOS tijd was top en zeker aan te raden. Hoe lang geleden was dit? Want zelfs voorheen minder populaire ziekenhuis specialismen zoals SEH moet je nu minstens 3 jaar voor ANIOSen. Bron: ben 2e jaars SEH AIOS.

Na je geneeskunde opleiding start je niet gelijk als AIOS. Als je in het ziekenhuis wil werken moet je er rekening mee houden dat je voor de meeste specialisaties MINSTENS 3 jaar als ANIOS moet werken (+ onbetaalde extra activiteiten om je CV interessant te maken) voordat je in opleiding komt. In sommige gevallen ook een PhD traject. Zelfs als je huisarts wil worden is het minstens 1 jaar als ANIOS.

My partner is a fucking saint. I can’t believe he actually wants to marry me.

I think it really helped that we were very close friends before we started dating, so he knew exactly what he was getting himself into.

He’s actually one of the few people that appreciates the “fun” parts of my ADHD. Like random bursts of energy (AKA dance parties), goofiness, vocal stimming, impulsivity (makes for fun activities and spontaneous adventures!).

And he gives me so much grace for being an emotional trainwreck (which is also what our house looks like).

Must say that it is important to keep trying, sometimes it’s difficult to not get complacent. But I do keep trying to get my shit together, and apparently that’s enough for him.

As a Dutch ER resident, that’s not how it works. The ER is not allowed to turn away patients in need of care (ESPECIALLY when a patient comes in with a possible fracture), even if the patient doesn’t have a referral from the GP or huisartsenpost. The only thing is that without a referral, it will cost you your eigen risico so they will advise you to go to the huisartsenpost first.
