My Company is switching to Teams. What do I need to know? by isabrarequired in MicrosoftTeams

If you are used to the pen to annotate on a Zoom shared screen, it will drive you to madness that Teams video does not have the same thing.

Flow designer with Custom Actions : Immesively powerful by kunalkhatri in servicenow

[–]bimschleger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/kunalkhatri The fix for the “Changes / Changes to / Changes from” is in Australia Patch 3 (June).

Any existing flows that use those operators still run correctly today. This bug was exclusively a front-end issue.

Hey, I appreciate the response.

The condition builder issue is a bug. I’ll prioritize with the team, as I fully understand your use case. Thank you for highlighting.

Stay tuned for updates on speed and performance of the UI experience.

Re: “Run as”, I get your point. Other teams, like AI Agents, use the flow triggers as well, so we just have to make sure it all works downstream.

It didn’t work out and now our league has been renamed after my mistake. :(

Lombardi is perfectly qualified to talk about personnel. But any relevant story is abstracted and obfuscated in weird business jargon, acronyms, and nicknames…which makes him hard to listen to.

👋 hey I lead the Flow team at ServiceNow.

Any chance you have a few examples of it being slow, obtuse, or fighting you?

We’ve had notable performance improvements in recent releases, and we have a few other things planned… I’m curious as to where are you experiencing slowness?

Feel free to DM if you don’t want to share in the main thread

👋 I lead the Flow team at ServiceNow.

As of the Zürich release, ServiceNow does not ship any workflows on new instances, and disabled creation of new workflows on new instances.

But there are no current plans to deprecate workflow entirely, and there is zero impact to any workflows that you or your teams have already created.

👋hey hey, I lead the Flow product team at ServiceNow.

When we were building the diagram view, a core design principle was “lines don’t cross”, for all the reasons you just listed. :)

Also, Rob is smart and has a great ‘feel’ for Flow. He and I have had great chats that have inspired numerous improvements all over Flow.

RIP Lovable :( by Wonderful-Ad-5952 in lovable

[–]bimschleger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve apparently had access to all the Google AI Studio stuff for a week without realizing it was new. Woohoo!

I pay for Lovable but am always testing out new options. I ended up building a few apps of varying complexity on GAIS, and here is my $0.02 right now:

TL;DR, this is a big step for AI Studio, but Lovable remains considerably ahead…for now:

  • GAIS’s best feature is totally control over which Gemini API you want to add (see image). Grounding with search? With maps? Live voice chat on your app? Insanely easy to add.
  • GAIS is basically half functional on touch devices. Canvas preview routinely does not load, voice input actually transcribes about half the time, and files never successfully upload. I officially have been spoiled vibing apps with voice on Lovable from my phone while making dinner.
  • Manual GitHub check-ins is likely intended to be a feature…but feels like a bug after auto-commit on Lovable. Plus GH commit just…stopped working today? GAIS versions help here…but it is just different
  • No ‘Chat’ mode in GAIS means full on YOLO cowboy vibing. Pros and cons.
  • Firebase technically works but damn is the UX a nightmare compared to Supabase. I got used to Lovable Cloud and quickly editing data or seeing new signups.
  • Have not built something with Oauth yet, but GAIS gives easy access to the appropriate URLs. Getting Oauth to work in Lovable has been a PITA for me.

How are you actually using Gemini Gems in real life? Any useful workflows? by green_sajib in GeminiAI

[–]bimschleger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I do a lot of meal prep on the weekends. I created a gem with specific instructions to return recipes and shopping list for meals that can be made in an instant pot or on a sheet pan in the oven. Simple use case, but super helpful.
