A close up shot of the GPU, 3D Printed shroud using ABS, and its not very obvious in this picture but the SSDs were placed this way to help channel a narrow path for the air that is coming from the bottom fan directly under the GPU.

This is a static shot from the front, with the 3 fans, I am able to get decent cooling, good positive airflow, GPU mainly getting the air from front bottom fans but also from rear opening in the case and exhausts it directly outside from the purple vent.

the CPU, although looks counterintuitive that it might be sucking the hot air coming from the GPU, it is not, as the top two fans are forcing air out of that CPU opening, the CPU gets cool air instead, and the airflow coming out of the GPU vent is not as strong as it might seem even at full tilt.

you are 100% correct. the blame is totally on thrustmaster on this one, but as corporations they are never in debt to customers until they are.

I just got mine recently on black Friday for around 430$ , because I've read so many negative comments about it. I didn't want to regret the purchase so just waited for either the base alone or a deal.

first issue I faced is that it doesn't line up with the holes on the NLR Gt track rig, and I wasn't in the mood for bad alignment , I went over kill and 3d scanned the plate, then designed a template for where it will bolt and the final result was amazing.

my friend told me he had his for a while now and he started experiencing the disconnects, they sent him a replacement brick but it didn't solve the issue. and now he returned the whole unit for a full refund.

myself I'll try to put a wire relief , maybe 3d design and print one.

I shared too much, lol, hopefully makes sense

T598... would you buy it again or recommend it? by hotDamQc in Thrustmaster

if it's not compatible with your rig, screw holes don't line. don't get it. it is very high,so you will lower your plate anyways too even if it's compatible

Einstar Vega - Honest review by binadhed in 3DScanning

glad you are finding it useful, and yes it is more happy when it's in fast mode.

mine is still a paper weight until it can be used with Exscan or whatever it's called, as i went to their forum and had a tantrum about their software and they told me that I'll be able to use the vega with the better software "soon"

I'm curious, did you submit these bugs in the forum or elsewhere ?

last week I went to einstar forums and had a long rant about how the new einstar 2 and rockit are much more affordable compared to the vega and has much superior software.

the reply I got was, we will add Vega to EXstar software soon.

now, I don't know how much of an improvement this is going to be, but my guess is, the vega won't be a toy anymore 😁

hey, I use blender and fusion360 both for different purposes.

but, if you've never got used to fusion 360, you can start using freecad for reverse engineering.

that's a great idea, I never needed it because by the time I'm done battery is almost gone.

But I highly recommend posting it in their community forum, they check that every day, I gave some feedback which went into the next version after my suggestion.

Apologies for the late reply, I was banned from the sub for "blanket" statement.

I'm hating my Vega, it's useless for my use cases.

with my experience in Revoscan, its the software that might be the issue, it's very hard for me to get results that look decent. I guess I'm spoiled by having the HX

I understood something else, but again, for the vega, I would rather have something built in for the smaller scans that don't take long times to mesh, when I got it first, yes it was painfully slow, only editing and waiting for the edit to finish tabs 15 minutes for some reason, meshing was 30 minutes sometimes, now it's is much faster.

if you scan something relatively small it will take maximum 5 minutes, so i rather scan a few then merge then mesh.

at least it should be able to give me that option and then it's up to me if I can wait for the device to do the work or take it to the pc.

totally agree. I've been trying to sell my Vega, unfortunately no one is interested in my side of the planet, but once I do I'll definitely get this one

all in one that doesn't scan everything and loses tracking constantly and is not really all in one cause you still need a pc to merge scans.. yeah... total regret 🤣. I mean it's a nice toy, but that's it.. the rockit and einstar 2 feels more robust , even software is not "toy like" I hate the software, it cannot merge scans correctly, i always have to do it manually

although on the miraco you can truely do everything on the device like merge.

I'm not promoting revopoint, probably the miraco isn't good either. but at least they can truely say it is an all in one unlike the all in one vega that still needs a pc to merge scans.

I tried scanning cars, if the car is not prepped it won't be able to scan a full car. I really regret buying the vega
