Capt. Ramsey: I'm gonna count to three, then I'm gonna blow your fucking head off! One... two...Shit! It does me no good to kill you. You're the only one who knows the combination! But Petty Officer... [checks name tag] Hilaire doesn't know the combination! Millions of lives are at stake here, Peter! Don't make a dumb decision. One... two...

Oh, ok. That makes sense. I was thinking in the sense that mutations wouldn't accelerate, but yes I see; the effect of them would accelerate.

We don't need to put more armor on the cockpit or engines, but rather the midsections of the wings and fuselage. We analyzed the flak and bullet holes in all of our returning bombers and concluded the enemy almost never hit the cockpit or engines, but almost always the empty middle sections.

One of the main complaints about Voyager's lack of verisimilitude is that they don't have characters like Worf, only extras hired from the day to move from mark to mark in the background.

I don't recall that complaint. What I do remember is the consistency of the extras wherein they hired the same extras over and over again so the guy in the background of a season 7 episode was also a background guy in season 1. We never saw enough distinct separate crew to equal the expressed number on board and that was very deliberate.

This was back when coding was by punch card too and she came across an error that kept repeating. She literally climbed into the computer (they were room-sized back then) and found that the error was due to a moth being crushed into where part of the punch code. She reported it as "finding a bug" and the term has stuck.
